  1. now on the bay: https://stores.ebay.com/Diggin-Dave-45-store?_trksid=p4340.l2563
  2. Thx for helping me out! I already had a feeling it wasn't the kind of record to be booted, but better safe than sorry...
  3. I'm currently busy compiling a huge sales list and came across this one. All other copies I've seen of this one were red or white, so was wondering whether this one was legit. Thanks in advance!
  4. Yep, if my paypal funds are dry I avoid the gift option too since the records cost enough already without the extra fee:)
  5. It doesn't always cost the buyer extra. Sent some money to a mate earlier this week and didn't have to pay anything extra on top of the amount. I think there's no extra fee (or just a very minimal one) when you already have the funds in your paypal account. I personally let it depend on the reputation of the seller when sending payments.
  6. Brilliant thread guys. Some of the stories made me laugh out loud Over here in there's some stiff competition though. In Town Mikey mentioned someone and I think who that is, and he can be grumpy allright. The other guy in my home town is like a town legend where I live. From the top of my head his achievements include: "I hold the record for most expensive copy sold in Belgium for this record, so if you think you'll get this copy any cheaper (insert cuss words)". So that tells you something about his prices. Other thing is when someone is stupid enough to order a record there he doesn't have in stock, and stupid enough to give him an advance payment. That usually guarantees some jolly visits to his store and of course no sign of the record/your money. On another note: I heard there's a (non-soul related) shop in Berlin that's famous for this. Maybe one of the Berlin guys knows what I'm talking about?
  7. Don't know if it'll make you feel any better, but I also saw the Eddie Billips 45 and wanted to bid a nice 3 figure sum for it, so if the guy would've shipped outside the UK it wouldn't have gone anywhere near $0.99. Maybe we should just feel happy for the bloke who won it for a dollar and hope he/she treats the record with the respect it deserves...
  8. I've seen WDJ copies go for big money before. They don't pop up very often though. That doesn't mean that they're legit of course, but I thought legit WDJ copies existed. Don't take me on my word though, as I've never checked matrix info or something like that.
  9. For those interested... High Quality download link: >>>LINK<<<

  12. Yep, was picked up by Chess. Chess copies seem to be a bit cheaper (and usually in better condition), but can sometimes be harder to find than Starville copies in my (somewhat limited) experience. Never heard of/seen a boot, as miff pointed out earlier.
  13. Diggin' Dave posted a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
I visited the shop today and as you might have guessed his prices are a bit on the high side... Nice guy though and quite a character. He also said he was putting the ebay auctions online 'as a joke', but I guess he achieved his goal because I probably wouldn't have heard about his shop if he didn't put his silly set sales on the bay. Btw Murano, have you ever been to Marcel's shop in Kruibeke? Like that one much more and managed to score a few nice things there in the same genre. Oh and if you're ever in Ghent there's this guy called Diggin Dave and I heard he also has loads of nice 45s
  14. There seems to be a bit of interest in it among other collectors too, but since I have the habit of describing half of my list as 'brilliant' and 'beautiful' I thought I might as well be honest about this one too. I wonder if it'll sell
  15. I owe someone on here some money for something he kept aside ofr me, so I made this smaller mixed sales list full of rarities and semi-knowns. If you know every tune in this list I'm buying you a pint Shipping to anywhere in the world for any number of records is £5 If interested in anything, or if you have any questions PM. I'm also in the process of uploading hundreds of record to eBay as buy-it-now. 16. Bruges is pretty dry when it comes to good records, but as Philippe pointed out if you're in Amsterdam you could do worse than to visit Waxwell records as they have some nice LPs and 45s at good prices. I only live about half an hour away from Bruges, so you're always welcome to satisfy your vinyl cravings over here too . There's also a second hand shop in my town which has a few nice soul LPs from time to time (found Irma Thomas 'Take a look' LP there last week for example)
  17. I'm curretnly in the process of uploading a whole batch of 45s to eBay because my sales boxes are filling up and could use some trimming. A varies selection as always, from haunting popcorn movers to modern soul dancers, mid-paced rarities to gritty R&B movers. >>>LINK<<< Oh and to avoid eBay fees I'm giving everyone that wants to buy one of these 45s directly off me on the froum a 10% discount (because I can avoid eBay fees that way, so should benefit us all) enjoy!
  18. Here's a comment on the track from Trishes, from which I conclude that it's not official and not available on vinyl. He included a 320kbps mp3 with his comments though https://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=127151145343
