  1. This is a thrill to see Spyder coming over to the UK as well as the other two fabulous artists. I wonder if we can hook him up on BBC breakfast as they transmit from Manchester these days. Is there a Spyder Turner track in the new film! It could promote the film and the Souldham gig which would kill two birds, and help Fay cover cost and maximise the charity donation. It would be great to get a full house Fay. What else can I do to help?
  2. i am selling tickets for this event, if you require any you can pm me on soul source or text/ring me on=07427832715 and i can post tickets out to you at no extra charge, ie no booking fee, tickets are priced at 15 pounds each

  4. For me - this man was ALL about 'Love Won't Let Me Wait' - sure, his NS stuff was great and his LPs are full of killa cuts but those first coupla bars of 'LWLM Wait' just instantly transport me back to 1974 and listening to this on UK Atlantic 7" at my cousin's house - just one of my strongest Soul memories ever - I was only 10 years old but I can still 'feel' the music on that 7" to this day....I'm happy to have had some of the most memorable times in my young life listening to 'LWLMW' and for that I'm eternally grateful to The Major....rest well, you've earned it sir....xx
  5. Funny how you can be reminded of certain people by certain records,I relaly like the Majors Call me tomorrow ,it often brings an old mate of mine Rug R.I.P to mind, although he used to spend a lot of his time wheeling and dealing for records or d j ing in some cases there were a few records that used to get him up on the floor dancing and the Major was one of them. among a handful of others.

  11. Boba, its just opinions. If i criticise the pictures then i have to expect others to defend them & post accordingly.
  12. It was a bit surreal. I was the first Dj on, on Saturday night, as i walked in he and the band were still doing their sound check. He was singing Changing by the minute which is my fave tune of his, which i so happened to have on me.. So of course i got him to sign it!. Had a good chat with him Sunday afternoon.
  13. Saw him Saturday night in Dumfries.. Was excellent
  14. Moody, vocative and atmospheric my favourite one is New Century the guy doing the one handed handstand - awesome and cool thanks.
  15. The Daily Telegraph obituary also gave the release date of, "Look at me now" as 1962. I was surprised at this because it sounds much later but previous posts have explained the probable error. I remember this being played by Pep at Wolverhamton's Old Vic, circa 1987, to a fair amount of dance floor acclaim. Did it gain spins earlier elsewhere?

  23. I have absolutely no doubt you are a very good photographer, but i was hoping you would bring something new to the table. Sorry, but these kind of photo`s are as old & tired as the baggy trousers & backdrops of the people in them, & a few shadows aint going to fix that. I can`t understand why any photographer would want to document a scene that has had its best days & photo`s opportunities firmly behind it.
