Ebay Descriptions You Hate
The worst description is Northern Soul - when the record clearly isn't Northern Soul, if you know what I mean. Mainly Yank sellers who havent a clue but also get some Brit ones too.

What Tunes In Your Opinion Would Work At A Student Night?
so would i - also would throw in maybe:- Bobby Hebb - Love Love Love Solomon King - Cry To Me Greg Perry - It Takes Heart (did a non-soul wedding once played this, packed the floor and had all the punters asking for it and if it was in the charts!) Jackie Wilson/Erma Franklin - Sweetest Feeling and then when you cant get them out the venue, bang on Dave Mitchell 'The Trip' ....sure to get rid off them

What Era Had The Best Djs?
Baz has hit on what I was saying Chalky - not saying it makes a good or bad dj, but the internet has made a lot of records easier to track down via ebay, gemm, even people selling privately on this website. As with Baz a lot of my stuff came via these routes - give up djing now but - hopefully it didnt make me a bad dj - remember an great dj could go down like a lead balloon if he doesntr play what the masses want to hear in a certain venue. I know a certain dj who plays nothin but boots and usually all floorfillers but to a crowd who think he's the bees knees coz he plays all that stuff they know - try and offer them something different (like i used to) and they just sit on their arses and almost refuse to like change

What Era Had The Best Djs?
each era had its good and bad dj's - much easier to be a dj these days as more opportunities around probably and records easier to come by via the internet etc.

What A Wonderful Site
Agree with Pul here Mike, keeps us all in touch as we cant all be globetrotting around the UK to soul nites to keep up with everything. And it keeps me occuppied when the girls of the house are watching shite on tv! Made lots of friends thru this site - many of which i havent yet met but hope to meet them all in the future . Been helped out loads of times thru this site - in search of records, mp3s, valuations etc etc. Keep going Mike - you and the rest of the team are doing a great job, f**k the knockers whoever you are.
