if it is a boot was it booted for the northern scene? think the issue is approx £400 upwards maybe. another one like this is the one that came out by the tropics 'hey littel girl' - think it was a canadian release and i got it from canada for a few $......but think that was booted by the doo-wop boys?

  20. very similar to waht i could have written Steve, i stopped going for c12mth period between 79/80 and couldnt believe the emptiness of the place to what it used to be and the fact that i now felt like a stranger...all the faces i knew had gone, give or take the odd one or two...Craig (ginger haired lad cant remember exactly where he came from St Helens I think, he used to hang around with a lad called Pete from St Helens). The music had changed and i remember Frankie Karl being spun and not being too keen on it at the time! Took my girlfriends cousin with us who was about 13 and got carpeted by Mike Walker in his office for sneaking him in ...let hime stay in the end but lectured me on the danger of his drink getting spiked! still loved the place and hardly missed another niter there until it's closure. Grant
  21. yeah just notivced that on the label...rarer still then I just looked on the back of the sleeve where it said Decca records NY. Still letting it go cheap if anyone interested

The fave non-soulie record is The Snake....whenever you get into a conversation that brings up northern soul with a non-soulie who think they know a bit about northern they always mention The Snake, almost sometimes to take the piss, therefore when I get talkin to them about their music, usually the 'newest' form of house, garage or whatever shite they call it these days I always tell them I like a bit of house too an d just love that 'Aceeeed' track or a bit of Kylie....usually dumbfounds the tossers!! The really clever non-soulies in the know might even throw in Out On the Floor....another played at the WIGAN PIER
  23. hedging my bets on '78
