yeah know what u mean, although there are one or two that do still sound great today, but i do mean in terms of dancing to them, (crap for listening to in the car ) viz:- sounds of lane harry betts (so fast and great for spinning to!!!) harley hatcher betty brookes chaumonts simon locke frank foster to name but a few

and of course this brilliant lp with the excellent dancers Backwards Upside Down & Lonely Man

can agree with him, has a good selection of credible blue-eyed soul dancers, whereas a lot of albums you buy for one track (e.g. Rufus Lumley).
