Seriously Mark, that first spot you did at The Attic was the one that lifted us out of a "for mates" mentality to take our own night a little more seriously . . . . . .we'll never forgive you. It was also the start of the policy of only original will do. We will find you so make it easy and pm your address

For Those Esteemed Djs Who Graced The Attic Decks
Very worried I'm entering into naff tat territory but here goes, hopefully not. Just a year ago we put the ATTIC to bed for a while, at The Black Bull, Mansfield. To help remember some great nights playing soul music to discerning ears we've got a few, very limited, collectable, high quality OBO (Original Badge Only) small lapel badges to thank the DJs who helped drive that night forward. It's not optional, if you DJ'd we will catch up with you . . . . . a little like pasing you the black spot. Started the hand-out at Bentinck Back Room night last night. If you think we may not see you for a while (Kev and Steve are about much more than me, and Garry can't be trusted with anything sharp) pm me a postal address and I'll get one off to you and keep tabs on who's had one of these (future) valuable items. Unlike last night I'll try not to be duped by claims of "I did an early spot" . . . . you know who you are - but you did carry enough boxes. Photo took some doing, they're on the small side.

Spaniels - Maybe - Buddah
Photo acurate. Some label fading and lots of light scuffs. Nothing deep and plays well. Just drop a line if you want it, Dean

Spaniels - Maybe - Buddah
Think I've got a spare that £10 + £1.50 postage will secure. As I recall it's VG+ rather than EX (hence £10). Will look when I'm home, although boxes are at different locations at moment - I think i know where to lay my hands on it. Let me know if interested, feel free to take up other offers if I'm slow getting back. Dean

Phil La Of Soul - (Label Of The Week)
Have you played me this recently Kev? I was watching this one on ebay last week (could be two week ago now) and forgot to get back to it in time. Went for $29.99 to the only bidder, which unfortunately wasn't me. I couldn't place my interest in it, but knew I was. I'll now blame you for my disappointment

Phil La Of Soul - (Label Of The Week)
Gave this a play out once and got a little deck peeping. Worth looking up in my opinion, should be cheap.

Only got DJ box here at moment, got some nice pic covers elsewhere, will see if I get time to look them out. Meantime: Got this signed on sleeve on stage at Wigan, almost fell across stage tripping on wires and falling into Jr. He looked at the lanky English kid and said "Where did you get this?" Think I've got a C90 tape of that gig somewhere. Still an all-time fav- Worst Packing Ever? Taking The P***
Following a previous moaning thread about $35.55 post and packing for a 45 from musicman59 ( ). Purchased 25 April, arrived today 28 June. Packed in a 12" LP package (not that unusual in itself), postage on package is $24.68 . . . . but check the packing inside. Not going to get this record out without tearing the label I think. Could try steaming it a little perhaps. It's a heavy duty adhesive on the tape. I think I must have annoyed him when I questionned the $35.55 postage! Seller is A. Press, 152 N. Edgewood St, Ph. PA. 13139- Gil Scott Heron
Enjoyed it Winnie, but made me a little sad. I do genuinely think the planet's a sadder place without that crooked grin. Looked at BBC iPlayer this morning as I was thinking of posting a link but but BBC4 iplayer said it wasn't available, was about the only BBC4 programmes form last night that wasn't . . . . . . . Although the guilty pleasures of ancient greece is looking tempting.- Murray What's Your Hurry
On the You Tube link , which is for the He's A King side (the better side) there are the following comments posted: OMG I thought I would NEVER find this song! Nadal's win went out the window as soon as I heard this and have been searching for it ever since!!! used by BBC sport at end of French Open Tennis....brilliant!! I can't recall who I was talking to about this, but at a night discussing Barbara McNair, I mentioned seeing those comments and was told they thought the other side had been used by the BBC with a link to Andy Murray. Just idle curiosity about a record. The He's a King side is well worth a listen for it's own value. Also, Andy Murray is still British this morning!- Murray What's Your Hurry
With respect to BBC Wibledon coverage, did I hear right that this was once used by the BBC as backing track to a review of Murray's (British if he wins, Scot if he loses) performance? Flip side to He's A King, which in my opinion is a great ballad.
