  1. back in the 60s when we had portable disca-trons you had to knock out the centers to play them, really messed up some of my records, never thought about keeping them for 40 / 50 years back then did we, wonder if thats one reason why red atlantics started to have no centers ?. but probably because atlantic were taken over i expect, joe.
  2. no pete, i was thinking more of the issue on big t, haven't seen a demo for must be a good 20 years so i guess £50 or more will be right, like wise the us demo, i see the odd one on ebay but there dosen't seem to be many of them about either. i've seen / had quite a few issues over the years, guess collectors have been buying up the issues and it's got a bit rarer to find. always been very popular in wrexham used to be loads at car boots a few years ago. never see hardly any now,
  3. i would have said about £5 a while ago, but prices seem to have been rising lately so £15 / £20 for mint one . joe ps, i see it says £30 in manships i can't say i've ever seen one go for that much but thats just me,.
  4. Dee Dee Sharp What Kind Of Lady Plomaritis Records of Athens and how gorgeous is this? rarely seen variation of Dee Dee's most popular Northern Soul offering.. Looking exactly as it did back in 1968 retaining the orignal company sleeeve, with perfect labels & vinyl snugly inside. Just a beautiful and perhaps rarest format. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 75.00 Soul Twins Quick Change Artist C/w Give The Man A Chance With this label variation there is no confusion with the 1973 Atco repress. 1966 ORIGINAL and seldom seen in this format! Topside offers a total back-drop inducing "Torch"Â anthem that in recognised as classic stomping Northern Soul in it's purest form. Flip it over and you're treated to a flipside, that for me outstrips the classic "A"Â on quality, soulfulness and danceability; a current off-the-radar-spin for quite a few imaginative DJ's at the moment. Looks gorgeous, sounds fantastic two times over - and wearing it's seldom seen large logo label.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 203.00 John Wesley Love Is Such A Funny Thing C/w Stop The Music The mid-60s Los Angeles musician mantra must surely have been: "If you want a runaway-truck-rhythm arrangement just call in Arthur Wright!"Â Belt up, hold tight John Wesley is about to take you on roller-coaster ride of rare Northern Soul that will leave you gasping for air. THIS IS NORTHERN SOUL the proper-kind, the sort that ignites gymnastics, invites the NS slick footed to grace the floor. It is after all records of this calibre that spawned the phtrase "NORTHERN SOUL STOMPER!"Â Rare in the extreme, supremely powerful and as rare as hell... Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 486.00 Marvin Gaye Take This Heart Of Mine C/w Need Your Loving ( Want You Back) 1966 totally flawless Red & White that our records reveal is one of the very least seen of the TMG 500's. Only our second copy in 215 years and the last copy 7 years back was way below auction condition. This beauty from Motown #1 man is flawless in every respect...TMG addicts dip your bread... Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 109.00
  5. Bobby Sheen Dr. Love C/w Sweet Sweet Love No only totally classic, not only sitting here in by far and away it's rarest and most desirable format. The lure of the British Red & White DEMO could hardly be stronger. But also sitting on the flipside is a Northern Soul jewel that has yet to reach it's peak. Sweet Sweet Love in a masterpiece that is slowly but surely gaining DJ favour. Our tip is in 12 months time it'll be a huge tune - just too good not to be. A double helping on top-drawer Northern Soul, looking so irresistible... Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 219.00 Frankie Beverly & The Butlers If That's What You Wanted Without question one of the most crucial-to-own WHITE DEMO's of all the Northern Soul Classic trophies. A vinyl-envy inducing platter of the highest calibre, whose soundfile will require no introduction, what-so-ever. Ogle, listen and resist if you can. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 439.00 Marva Lee If You Can't Be True C/w Too Bad, Too Sad If this session was cut just a few months later, this Philly beauty would have come out on the iconic ARCTIC label, as this is a Dyno-Dynamics production from the Arctic Teamsters, transforming Gene Chandler's Curtis Mayfield. This rare 45 benefits from a full girl-group harmony support, Honey & The Bees we suspect and typical vibe and horn arrangement decorated by a Mike Terry style prompting baritone sax (Mike guested on many Philly sessions) so it could have be the Sax-God himself. All my educated guesses add up to a killer Philly Northern Soul that outstrips any big ticket girly tune you care to mention. If you not diving for the bid button already, check out the dreamy ballad on the flip which ripples with those Arctic vibes and innocent style that was handed over to the teams up and coming Soul Princess Barbara Mason, lyric composed by two of Philly's practiced professionals Kenny Gamble & Jimmy Bishop. Utterly delicious two times over... Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 259.00 Kenny Long It's Better To Love And Lost Sax driven soulful 80s that enjoys a huge following, as this 80s production avoids mechanical vocal enhancement, crass electronic arrangements that ruined so many "soul"Â productions of the period. Kenny Long's expressive vocal thrives uninterrupted with a shrill girl-group chorus as the only enhancement required as it grows and grows into one of the very finest SOUL offerings of that decade. Beautiful, elusive and so sought after. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 61.00
  6. Ben Atkins & The Nomads It Would Take A Miracle C/w I'll Step Aside Looking for something rather special and incredibly RARE. We think this double helping of the good-stuff will blow you away! STOP and look no further, click the sound-file and absorb two fine examples of "Simple is Genius"Â, as this Northern Soul stroller creeps slowly but surely deep into your heart. A "builder"Â of the highest quality, that you'll find yourself playing again and again and just when you can't take anymore..the birth place of Elvis Presley, Tupelo, Mississippi offers you a flipside that is arguably better. Myself, I just can't decide which side fire the emotions more.. Two absolute soul-masterpieces that just get better and better the more you hear them.. I'm blown away Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 333.00 Willie Kendrick Change Your Ways C/w What's That On Your Finger BLACK STOCK COPY! Oh, PIED PIPER could hardly be better looking or more soulful. Top side was a Northern Soul spin off the 1969 UK RCA 1014 lp "A LITTLE BIT OF SOUL"Â before the name PIED PIPER had ever been spoken of in England. As the years rolled by and the wealth of great 60s soul product from RCA became apparent. The Pied Piper text on a label became a symbol for stand-out productions. The flip of this 45 underlines every accolade the British Soul fraternity has heaped upon this Detroit team over the decades. The scan demands ownership, the double-soundfile demands utmost respect. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 436.00 Leroy And The Drivers The Sad Chicken Pumping, classy Chicago FUNK Rarely seen in this flawless condition - perfect in every respect! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 260.00 Bileo You Can Win The rare original ORANGE first press. Do not accept any other - the blue label variation was a especially commissioned repress - this killer ex-Cleethorpes Winter Gardens gem is rarely witnessed in it's original street-level L. A. press. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 209.00
  7. Lou Christie Lightnin' Strikes Soul snobs look away now. Those of you who appreciate a rare record, a feelgood blue-eyed Northern Soul or just remember the effect this Charlie Calello Four Seasons style arrangement had on the faithful at Wigan Casino or Cleethorpes Pier, click the soundfile and relive what is after a darn good tune. In this form it is staggeringly RARE and in this unblemished condition, utterly satisfying. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 98.00 Chairmen Of The Board Where There Is Faith There's Hope October 1971 this Chairmen Of the Board Invictus session produced a wonderfully constructed Northern Soul dancer that never saw release on 45 or Album track! An unissued Chairmen Of The Board recording is a rare, rare thing. One of this outrageous quality is a staggering treasure to behold. Click the sound file and hear a gathering that provided Invictus with 10 UK and 11 USA hits. This much-loved group consistently delivered quality but sadly for the seeker of rare-soul, they have no elusive gems to chase.. That is until NOW! Massive Northern Soul potential - and for the Invictus collectors totally crucial addition to the collection. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 308.00 Vernon Harrel Slick Chick Be prepared to be hooked! Bass-line intro gives way to snarling Mr. Harrel, who rides a shrill hammond that swirls high over the production, creating popcorn/R&B of the most-infectious kind; a bevvy of teen-girls, timer their "Yeah Yeah's"Â to perfection, embroidering what is just a compelling example of 1962 New York transitional Soul. Fantastic and irresistible....and MINT! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 186.00 Morris Chestnut Too Darn Soulful C/w You Don't Love Me Anymore Continuing out exclusive - one offs of 70s British RCA pre-Grapevine direct-cut acetates come this Northern Soul statement of genius. Anthony Renfro's collaboration with Mr. Chestnut crafted not one but two striking examples of our music. Absolutely classic and this is absolutely one-of-a-kind... Regret awaits those who miss this historical piece.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 89.00
  8. big difference on manships, think this is more realistic, a mint one has got to be worth £100 + imo, joe. US $224.72 / £138.32.
  9. HI, NICE ISSUE OF LITTLE WILLIE JOHN = I'M SHAKIN LOOKS JUST LIKE THE ONE ON MANSHIPS THAT WENT FOR £360 LAST WEEK THIS ONE IS ON $107.50 AT THE MOMENT, WONDER IF IT WILL GO ANYWHERE NEAR THE SAME PRICE ??. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/360486921873?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

  11. LITTLE WILLIE JOHN FETCHED A GOOD PRICE, GREAT RECORD IMO, BUT WAY OVER WHAT IT FETCHES ON EBAY, MIND YOU AS I TYPE THIS JO WILEY IS PLAYING JACK WHITE'S VERSION YET AGAIN. JACK WHITE'S WILL NEVER BE WOTH 3/6d I M O
  12. Master Force Hey Girl C/w Don't Fight The Feeling Subtle, delicious precisely constructed harmony vocal group masterpiece. Click the soundfile to be wafted away by an effortless excursion into a warm-pool of soul. So sublime and easy-going it instantly changes your mood. This is vocal harmony at it's very most skilled. Flip it and your treated to a horn driven funk infused dancer that still utilizes the finely honed vocals. Vocally superior to most any other vocal-group rare-soul dance session to care to mention - so little wonder over the last decade the reputation of this disc has seen all copies swallowed up into collections and DJ boxes. These days this rarity seldom comes to market - true quality is always gonna be hard to come by and this disc is saturated in it... Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 189.00 Jackie Lee Darkest Days Rightly a strong re-activated Northern Soul classic in it's rarest format. It should be noted that not only is this 1968 white demo immaculate it if NOT to be confused with the 70s re-issued that carried an identical label number. The 1968 issued has a delta # 73393 The 1971 "Select-a-Disc"Â requested re-issue has a Delta # 85897 in the deadwax. A perfect WHITE PROMO label dated 30th. October 1968 is very tempting especially after you relive the momentous soundfile, that will particularly rocket "Old-Torch-Regulars"Â back to their Stoke On Trent haunts. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 159.00
  13. Blues & Soul No. 13 October 1968 As if cocooned for the last 44 years this # 13 in the year old series is in pristine condition. Seldom, if ever can you find these "10"Â by 7"Â "Â issues in this unblemished condition. Issue 13 - offers Sylvester Stewart on the front cover - in recognition of his "Dance To the Music"Â which was sweeping the British clubs as the biggest dance tune of the year. Inside we have pics & features on: James & Bobby Purify, Clarence Csarter, Felice Taylor, Sly & the Family Stone, Album reviews, top U.S. R&B singles. 45 reviews. The Curtis Mayfield Story, Ben E. king interview by John Abbey highlight with a full page artist shot. Page dedicated to 14 year old Carl Carl and his new ACTION single "Competition Ain't Nothing"Â and of course the decidedly riveting DAVE GODIN column and much more... Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 157.00 Little Willie John I'm Shakin' An irresistible invitation to dance from King's Prince of the emotional delivery ! Certainly NOT the1963 King 5823 press that pops up for sale occasionally. This is the original 1960 press on King 5342 in just sublime condition sitting in it's eye-catching company sleeve... Click the soundfile to unveil a dancefloor-destroyer - a NS-feet-lubricator with few equals.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 360.00 James Brown It's A Man's Man's Man's World Part 1 & 2 The genius of James Brown and the plethora of recordings he put out is unmatched by any other artists of the last century. NOT just in Soul music but in all music, period. More recordings, more releases, more iconic tunes than any musician, ever. So when a JB ANTHEM comes to market in PERFECT condition in the form of a 1966 British White Demo. It has to be taken seriously and not just by Soul vinyl collectors but also by any no-nonsense collector seeking to own the landmark moments in music. James Brown the KING of SOUL performing a record that will still be played and respected in the next century... and no doubt this example will end up in a frame on a wall at sometime in the future...this is an iconic single and always will be. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 98.00 Trade Martin She Put The Hurt On Me Almost unbelievable but this offering is MINT. Certainly the only time this 45 has been played, is when the sound-file was lifted today. Unconditionally perfect in every respect. Northern Soul "O C D"Â afflicted perfections - we can assure you there is NOT a finer copy in existence, period! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 211.00
  14. Derek Martin Where There's Smoke OMG!! How good is this, if the previous owner a top NS DJ hadn't changed his music policy towards funky-stuff, I doubt if this Teddy Randazzo creation would have ever have seen the light of day again. But how lucky are we and you, to get this back in our hands!! LOVE IT In indomitable Randazzo style TR builds the production with layers of string, horns and those ear-piercing girls, just add the mighty vocal chords of Derek Martin and you have a Northern Soul masterpiece...of TITANIC proportions. ACETATE ONLY - amazingly this 1966 kitchen-sink concept never ever came out on vinyl. An excruciatingly good exclusive awaits the DJ wanting to make a name for himself.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 964.00 Ronnie & Robin Sidra's Theme Without question the biggest revival instrumental of the moment. I vividly remember during a Whitchurch all-dayer in the early 70s, the DJ announced to the packed hall "The End Of the World"Â Then dropped the needle on this Detroit dance-floor-detonator - even though most everyone there had never heard it before, it ignited the shoulder to shoulder dancing mass. We all went home in the car buzzing (with enthusiasm) for this newly introduced instrumental...later to emerge as a Blackpool Mecca & Wigan Casino anthem. 40 years on and it's making an impressive Northern Soul renaissance, as once again the NS instrumental is in vogue. Then again this one is rather special - isn't it? Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 291.00 Invitations Written On The Wall C/w Hallelujah The lure of the British Red & White DEMO is here again.. This New York Drifteresque production started life in Britain living in the shadows of their iconic Northern Soul classic "What's Wrong With Me Baby"Â. But in the recent times the ever changing trends and tastes of the NS scene has given this rarer "brother"Â a chance of club-exposure. Both sides are now getting spins as the vocal-group mid-pacer gathers popularity from the dancers. So listen to a team right at the top of their game. The uncomplicated ease of vocal lays a carpet of the BIg City sound down before you aided by typically potent Charlie Calello arrangement. Both sides deliver - don't they... Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 158.00 Conrad Benjamin Saturn Serious about rare Soul albums? Check out this 1982 Canadian D.I.Y. fusion of Soul & Jazz, giving up 4 killer tracks woven between some distinguished jazz recordings. Conrad Benjamin collaborates with Libert Carimbocas, Russell Devert, Mark Teixeira & Dwayne Brown. The five craft track after track of stand-out soulful dance embroidered with Conrad Benjamin penchant for jazz. All tracks written, arranged & produced by Conrad Benjamin. 15. Bab Party & Get On Down C/w Without Your Love Let's get serious! Ridiculously rare and extremely sought-after Deep Funker. Potent ground-level Richmond, Virginia FUNK So very elusive so darn strong - and in dream condition! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 665.00 Bruce Cloud My Book C/w Lucky Is My Name Double helping of Popcorn, please Sir. Oh and how Bruce Cloud shovels in and serves it up Big. Piling it high, to be liberally sprinkling with all the ingredients that make the "Popcorn"Â sound so utterly compelling. Loving the seductive arrangement that beckons you to dance..I find this style of Northern Soul totally irresistible, and thankful many other Brit DJ's feel the same. RARE and crying out for a DJ who works more often than I do.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 87.00 Morris Chestnut Too Darn Soul C/w You Don't Love Me Anymore The rare NS STOCK copy ferreter, will know all too well that this Blue-Beauty, you're gonna have to run-hard sand dig deep to snare. A Renfro session that lifted Mr. Chestnut into Northern Soul immortality. Just how many memories does this mountain-of-a-tine evoke. The Mecca, Catacombs, Wigan Casino, Cleethorpes Pier and of course the cassettes incessantly played on the journey's to and from this iconic venues. "Too Darn Soulful"Â churns the memory to very happy times indeed. Some light surface marks but plays superbly, - the only other copy we've had this century hissed from start to finish, and of course the PROMO press almost invariably has the labels reversed. Blue is not only stupidly rare it also offers correct labeling. A serious Northern Soul trophy! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 650.00 Marvelettes The Marvelettes - 4 Track Uk Ep Collecting British release Tamla Motown vinyl, is a life-long quest of not only seeking out and capturing the missing numbers in your run. But also upgrading and evicting the lesser condition residents. This copy of the 3rd release in this highly sought after series of EP's is one light blemish off near perfection Laminated cover front and back are a flaw-free clean Mint -. A-side vinyl is a strong clean Mint -. Flipside vinyl has a light surface blemish on track one - so light it over reveals itself to the eye NOT the stylus. BOTH labels are PERFECT. So hard to fine these or any 60s EPs in this high standard of condition. If you just need the number to fill in a missing gap - we do have an Ex/Ex copy on the site as a set sale. But we know all you Tamla Motown vinyl addicts, yearn perfection... may it last a lifetime. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 78.00
  16. hi, there's only 3,000 + records on r&b & soul on the uk ebay and thats auctions & buy it now. so there's a lot gone missing somewhere, the us ebay is even worse there's only 66,000 and there should be over 200,000. maybe a computer clitch, joe.
  17. i've had a ton of stuff off motorcity music over the years, always great to deal with, when they post records they always seem to arrive a lot faster than some of the other sellers in the states, joe.
  18. Donays Devil In His Heart C/w Bad Boy Considered by all British 60s collectors as one of the desirable girl-group 45s of that decade, who sing so much better than George Harrison did. This copy is in flawless in every respect, utterly perfect labels, vinyl that only reveals the merest sleeve-contact blemish in strong light. This 1962 Brit-rarity is in astonishing condition.. Wanted for so many different reasons. A Detroit Correc-tone session covered by The Beatles in 1963, adored by the girl-group-addicts, hunted by the British vinyl-nuts and as you can hear it's solid 1962 Northern Soul, how's that for a C.V.? Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 98.00 Neo Experience Human Exuberant Philly! The prolific Leon Mitchell takes Tommy Hunt's 1965 Big City classic and transforms it into a lush oh-so-soulful mid-tempo masterpiece. That has crept up in demand and value on the back of unavailability. Listen, and the reluctance to part with something this darn good will become obvious. Pleading lyrics, jazzy vibes, harmony chorus and a convincing lead vocal saturated in SOUL! Just too good to ignore, and it;s not going to get any easier to acquire as the years roll on...for obvious reasons. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 162.00 Marvelettes Locking Up My Heart C/w Forever We doubt this 45 has seen hardly any human contact during it's near 50 years of life. Amazingly there still fine paper fragments hanging from the sides of the 4 prong die-cut - the two labels show no sign what-so-ever of spindle insertion. IT'S A BEAUTY!! Having stated all that - the vinyl has extremely light "fogging"Â appearence in small areas of the surface from a lifetime in storage. This type "fogging"Â is often experienced on Oriole vinyl but DOES NOT affect play in anyway, as you can hear from the from double-sound-file provided. Rare and elusive in any condition - perfectionists will like me find the insignificant blemishes more than acceptable! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 160.00
  19. Betty Boo Say It Isn't So A unique 1979 British in-house RCA 10" acetate of a previously unissued Richard Popcorn Wylie & Tony Hestor session, featuring Sax-God Mike Terry on baritone. Jump on the crystal clear DIRECT-CUT sound-file to hear what is possible when 3 gifted Detroiter's have a day in the studio. This is the very zenith of Motor City Northern Soul which amazingly never reached vinyl in the 60s but was the stand-out track of the unissued sessions, that RCA's Grapevine label rushed to release on Grapevine 125. Before you today is the ultimate way to own Popcorn's "pií¨ce de résistance" a one-off British direct-cut high fidelity studio 10" acetate, so do compare with the "diminished somewhat muffled" 1979 Grapevine 125 vinyl press. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 609.00 Duane Calvert And The Clairmonts I Think It's Gonna Be Someone New C/w Does Love Pay Thoroughly polished 60s Ann Arbor, Michigan Northern Soul 45 offering two sides that ripple with all the influences of Detroit. Topside Duane is supported by The Clairmonts, as the bass guitar intro gives way to Duane's silky vocal, subtle male vocals coo away within the arrangement, then unexpectedly raise their game and ejaculate an high-pitched "Hey, Hey, Hey!"Â..so very Detroit. Flip it over and The Clairmonts are replaced by the highly renowned girl-group The Kittens, who purr away on a moody, sultry Soulful stroller making this a double-delight of Detroit influenced Northern Soul. Condition is immaculate, one small mark otherwise a Mint - condition would have been noted. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 91.00 Gene Middleton And The Sole Survivors Stop Where You Are C/w You Need Love Part of the highly sought group of Florida labels that encompassed FULLERetc emerges another rare candidate for the NS turntables. One of Florida's most-respected Rare-Soul-Men with a sleeper simmering-away with a big ticket looming. From the college town of Gainesville, more famous for serial murderers than it's black music contributions; comes this solid slab of real-deal Sunny State Northern Soul. The sound-file will reveal a raw horn littered soulful 60s dance tune that changes pace and undulates through the session. Gene Middleton invariably serves up real-soul, the flip is no exception. Ideal rarity for the thinking-soul-man who seeks small independent 45s awaiting the right DJ to realize their true-potential. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 111.00 Edwin Starr Stop Her On Sight (s.o.s.) C/w I Have Faith In You On April 22nd 1966 UK Polydor pressed the ultimate British Soul 45. This is very last word in Red & White British DEMO collecting! As it sat at my desk I nearly gave an old friend and life-long Northern Soul devotee & record dealer an heart-attack. If was the first time in his 60 years he ever seen a copy - he once saw the image on an event flyer and he said that sent shivers through him. When I apprehensively slipped this disc, so carefully out of it's wavy-top Polydor jacket.. I was also overcome with shivers, goose-pimples, hot flushes and dribblin' salivation The VINYL condition is IMMACULATE, the mesmerizing label is exactly how you see it, with the flipside in the same eye-popping condition. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 537.00
  20. Mamie P. Galore No Right To Cry C/w Do It Right Now As we've discussed before, Chicago's determination to capture the 60s Motown Sound and harness a little of Detroit's success, created some of Northern Soul's finest most-wanted dance-floor rarities. From memory I consider this "Special Agent"Â session as the finest most difficult to acquire girl example of that era. As you'd expect from this Chicago Soul-Sovereign, Mamie transports her emotive vocal skills into the perfectly formed Northern Soul dance arrangement. This has been and always will be considered a fully endorsed high-ticket 45 after decades of ridiculous rarity! Deep Soul fans do not overlook the flipside, with a Mamie immersing herself in pain...but still emerging with shimmering quality... Two killer sides - one very rare disc! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 513.00 Lewis Clark Green Power C/w Here's My Heart Fabulous Florida Soul two times over. Topside offers a self-penned slab of raw DEEP FUNK a pumping hammond, wild guitar aid the angry lyrics to punch home.. two potent drum-rhythm break allow Lewis to strut his stuff on this impress D.I.Y. journey. But do not pass by the flipside - agonizing Deep Soul that literally bleeds from Lewis's pen and soul. The allure of the independent Soul artist's work is always too much to ignore, especially when they provide excellence from to different genres. RARE in the extreme.. Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 54.00 Sunlovers My Poor Heart C/w This Love Of Ours Joey Jefferson's Los Angles label that provided the serious Northern Soul collector with the priceless Inspirations 45 and the original version of the Buddy Connor recording. This example is the label's second release and so very much rarer the later brief Mutt & Jeff appearance. So check out why "Breakthough"Â is considered one L.A.'s finest most highly prized labels. We think you'll find all 3 orange release are just awesome examples of Northern Soul. This example is a shimmering testament to vocal-group soul a seamless mid-tempo groove just begging to be heard by the masses.. click the sound-file you'll be assured this is no exaggeration.
