  1. That'll be the f**kin day??????????? This isn't a Buddy Holly thread and Stardust was a better film ...........apparently Good choices Gaz
  2. Sure it's only 50p if it identifies the track, no charge if it fails
  3. It has been going quite a while now, a few years back I used it to uncover a Terry Davies cover up as he played it, think it was a Lee Dorsey album track, he tried telling me I was wrong but I could tell he was gutted, and he admitted it years later,
  4. Is this not the same as 'probably'?
  5. Don't remember this in either film though https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pRC1uDklVhc Pete E
  6. Think it's an unnisued track (until recently maybe) Webby, i'm sure some kind soul somewhere on here can post a clip of some sort, Pete E
  7. Kinnell Webby, by the time you run out of 'fave tracks by A N other' threads you will be pushing Pete S for leading poster, Ain't to proud to beg That'll be the day Can't get next to you

    What about Debarge and Boys2men?????
  11. Would like to know if this is the case, personally over the years I have seen more issues than demos, but thats hardly a reliable yardstick,
  12. Chalky it was the 3 highlighted if memory serves, I did listen in whilst doing other things, including drinking,

This always reminds me of Bolton Playmate around 75, thursday night under 18's club, along with Love Machine - Miracles

Going to a go-go - Smokey St Dominics youth club, Bolton 1974
  17. Fair comment, but I bet theres also quite a few that can do without a 1/2/300 mile round trip journey to fund, playing for a mate down the road is a bit different to being asked to do some serious travelling only to arrive at a half empty venue and a promoter asking if they can make it up to you next time,
  18. Putting an event on costs money, room hire, advertising, equipment and DJ's all need and should be paid, Money made from busy nights should be held back as cover for any quiet nights, if there are no busy nights then maybe it's time to close the doors, or foot the bill, not expect the guest DJ to pay it, why should a promoter break even but a guest DJ pay for the 'pleasure'?

Where did they get the title from I wonder, It's not in the lyrics,
  20. Tony, that list is truly cringeworthy, but didn't they sell by the million? So could it not be the case he did 'come up with the goods' as far as he is concerned? Aren't/weren't all records released to hopefully sell?
  21. Am I the only one that thought John 'Ginger' Taylor was called Ray?
  22. Might just be me but seen more demo's than issues of this and when I was looking for one a few years back the issues seemed to fetch a tad more,
  23. So you are finally fulfilling the ambition Nige? Living the dream? God I wish I could remember your original psuedonym (sp?)
  24. Pete Eccles replied to a post in a topic in Look At Your Box
Agree Godz, if he had bought it to profit from it then he wouldn't have played it anywhere and everywhere on some very dodgy rigs, he fulfilled an ambition, had lots of fun with it, got his money back, well done Ken, Pete E
