Well, to me it is those great 60' early 70's soul tunes and R&B that made our scene what it is ( or was ), copies, covers, levine type made to measure stuff, just wont cut it ,it will be another farce,just my opinion of course, have been known to be wrong ,I can see why they picked Stoke though.. Jerry, the problem is if you start playing CD only tracks on a CD player,it leaves it all wide open to abuse,the next argument would be,theres only a couple of tracks I play on this CD and a couple on that CD ....why bother tacking a box full of CD's...tell you what Ill just burn the tracks I play on to one .. .yeah...can see that working ,DJ could carry is full set on a couple of CD's,they would all be playing big money rare tunes all of a sudden Bazza

I would think most promoters/venues would not dare have a CD player in full view,their cred would would hit rock bottom, it has happened ,the word was at one time Drax did this,and got a slating for it,I dont know whether this was right or not ,so the only way to play unreleased / CD only tracks is to have em cut...no other option......is there ?? All very well Mark, but the topic I started was not about bootlegs, I was really referring to unissued, or CD only tracks, being carved..we all know about bootlegs Bazza

Yep ,good reasons , I would add Big money rare tunes,because over time if played regularly, they will begin to fade,depending on the quality of the vinyl,and systems played on, and that would be a great shame , I would not like to think my precious vinyl was being played on an unknown system and CD only tracks....its just plain daft to me,to say you cant play a great tune just cos it was never released on vinyl A can of worms as one of you said Bazza oh and the "Parliaments - this is my rainy day" ...only joking
