Alright Callum................bit of a tough one. Been after one for years............not even a sniff of one. Good luck Mark T
  10. Great 2 sider as already mentioned. Been played on the Mod/R&B scene for a few years now. Took me a couple of years to fine one and definately not selling it. Very Mod sound IMO. Cheers Mark

Pretty certain it was John Kelly who found/played it first. Him and Denbo are good mates......Denbo may advise differently though. Mark
  13. Craig I think you'll find that this is unrealesed (along with the Charmaines - although Ady issued that on an a 100 Club anniversary 45 a couple of years ago). I might be proved wrong though? Regards Mark
  14. Great record, been played/known for a while on the R&B scene. Believe its also a Popcorn record, where its been known for longer. Don't think its that rare, probably only semi-known in UK?, hence the price tag of about £25-40. Of course you can get it alot cheaper on Ebay.
  15. Hi, pretty confident it's real....but didn't pay a great deal for it and have had it some years, the label has 'slipped' slightly on that side - was put on square once as you can see the adhesive line to one edge. 'Doesn't it' side label is square. It's a proper metal based acetate....labels are original and not copies (well they look like other Bell acetates I've got?). Surface is marked a bit, signs of wear, and some edge chips so it certainly looks old. Do Bell acetates have 'bell sound' stamps on the run out? I thought they wouldn't have any stamps in run out due to the nature of acetates? Anybody else got any ideas?
  16. Hi all, I bought a Bell acetate some years ago with the Platters - 'Doesn't It Ring A Bell' on one side and 'How Beautiful Love Is' on the other - see scan below. Got it from a reliable US dealer........so I'm pretty confident its original. I know 'Doesn't It Ring A Bell' come out on a Musicor & Stateside LP......but did it ever get a US or UK 45 release? OR a European 45/EP maybe? It's a great group Northern sound........not really sure if its well known either? Any help/info on any releases and possible values would be much appreciated. Cheers Mark
  17. Its a Sony Vio, not new but its just been rebuilt so that might be a problem? Yes, using Windows, have tried recording through microphone, will try line level. Cheers Mark
  18. Michael, thanks for the advice.......I plugged the deck into the microphone socket of my laptop (it worked fine on my old laptop last year). Can't seem to get a clear loud sound out. The deck has a small amp buit in. Just can't seem to work it out? Also been advised to see if my sound card has the correct drivers? Any advice would be welcomed. BTW - THE RECORD IS ON HOLD.
  19. Hi, I have a sample copy of the following original record for sale: James McCleese - Tell Me Why / I Need Your Love - Marco ('sample copy - not for sale'). Apologies for the quality of the MP3..........its sounds very quiet!! Tell_Me_Why.mp3
  20. Hi, I have a spare issue copy of the following original record for sale: Danny Dollar - Hello Blues / Telling You Like It Is - Solid Soul Condition EX Price = SOLD Superb unknown version of LaCharles McCoy on AMC (which books between £150 to £250). LISTEN TO BOTH SIDES BELOW Free standard postage, Recorded Post add £2, Special Delivery add £5. Payment by UK Cheque, UK cash or Paypal (add 4% for their fees), PM or email me to reserve. mark_thomas1@hotmail.com Cheers Mark PS - Any sound deterioration on the MP3 is due to compressing the sound file so that I could upload it and does not appear on the vinyl. Hello.mp3
  21. Also come out on UK HMV I think? Unusual but nice record. Hope you find one Mark
  22. One and a half hours to go...........any more offers?
  23. Right, hopefully theres a mp3 of the actually record below (any distortion or hiss that may be heard on the mp3 is down to compressing the file so that I could upload it, it does not appear on the vinyl). Gene_Toones___What_More.mp3
  24. I'd just like to clarify that the vinyl is mint- with no marks or clouding/residue on the vinyl. Anything you see on the photo is purely a reflection off the shiney vinyl and is only the result of the poor photo (sorry). I'm trying to sort out a sound file but my computer isn't recording properly. Hopefully will get one up tomorrow. Thanks for the offers so far. Cheers Mark
