  1. Firstly l do not aspire to anything other than a good night out l leave people such as yourself to aspire. You as we all know aspire to be the big promoter and dj. I enjoy promoting far more than playing records as it gives me the opportunity to raise money for charity's, believe it or not Terry this last 3 years I've helped raise over £3000 from soul events I've been connected with infact at a night I'm helping with in Sept I've paid for everyone one to attend i.e. 250 people who will donate equally to my personal charity, hardly the actions of a BIG I AM PROMOTER. Over the last 10 years from non soul associated areas I've helped raise over £75.000 something I'm incredibly proud of so lets put the record straight, when I promote I do it for Charity also when I dj I hardly ever take a fee requesting the promoter donates it to a local charity.Unlike others I want to MAKE nothing personally from events I help orgainise. Finally me a dj, I'm fookin useless as you well know..end of. You only, just like many others go NOWHERE unless you have something to do with the venue, again that's not quite true however a fair proportion of my nights out revolve around me playing some records, I have the passion but not the enthusiasm anymore or to dj, any respect l had for you went out the window when you teamed up with paddy greedy despite my warnings about the type of fella he was, you subsequently got burned. Yep you were absolutely correct the bloke is one vile shit he did me to the tune of £2000, however unlike others I'll have my day. Your signature has a list of venues that you wouldn't set foot in unless you'd been asked to dj and once you've been and dj'd they won't see you again. You were asked to dj at morley carr (an honour imo) you took a mimi bus full of people up there for a good night out....you know what upset my friends in the north it wasn't that you played a set of big oldies...it was that you got there 10 mins before your set and promptly cleared off as soon as you'd finished your set and couldn't be bothered to stay and enjoy the other dj's. Yet again you get it wrong mate, I arrived 1 hr late do to traffic conditions however it was a good 40mins before I followed Paul Harris, after my set of shyte we spent a good 90 mins at the venue some of which was outside, sorry. You never support your good friends locally (ray, russ and others) unless you're invited to dj.... that's bollocks, I'm really not interested in what they do, it's the old prunes and rice pudding scenario. There is a TORCH reunion coming up where lots of folk are gonna meet in a car park in tunstall and swap stories of the day (most of em will have never been). This club is in the past...where it should be left.I have spoken to a lot of old torch fellas who have said the same, blimey Mr Donnelly you only went twice ffs lol . Again I was invited to be part of this by Malc, loved the idea of doing something that would tick a lot of boxes whilst again raising over a £1000 for chairity, agreed it is in the pass however some you forget some you don't, even you would agree that doesn't make you and others superior to those that wish to partake in the day, with regards to the only went twice, I know but at least I DID GO hey Terry... .Lastly l would rather be at a venue listening to a good mixture of current niter spins, uptempo r&b,uptempo gospel, underplayed stuff and a good sprinkling of quality oldies with people saying WHAT THE FECK IS THIS!!never heard this before it's brilliant, because they are actually listening to the music, than being at a plastic, stuck in the past venue with people saying what the feck is this,l don't know it or play something we know.....like theres' a ghost in my house............T Agreed 95% at the last Can of worms day a day that cost me £100 out of my own pocket to put on before offering Steve and Cliff more cash from my pocket(which they refused) I sat there and listend to some wonderful SOUL that had me running to the decks so many times I was puffed out, it was a wonderful experience listening to stuff which sounded new and refreshing, so I know where ya coming from, I think. I'm convinced if you took no notice of the likes of me and the other few tosspots on here you'd probably enjoy yourself even more than you already do now. Take care.
  2. Fuck me Terry for a terrible moment I thought you were going to get bitter, twisted and personal. PD...
  3. just so I know where this is all going before I reply in a polite way are you suggesting that those that stay awake all night , dance a bit and nod away to those in close proximity with a " what the fukk is this" are the elite while those that take a far more sedate approach to doing what you aspire to are "wankers" and should be chastised forever and and a day?
  4. label? price? etc etc thanks.

  13. Scenario... Bid on a record via eBay USA Won said record paid immediately via pay pal 16 days later still no record Email person in USA asking for ETA, told to be patient etc etc Two days later emailed again advising that I'm on Vacation soon Can you track, reply NO Left on holiday for two weeks, when I returned a trip to the post Office is in order. Opened parcel, bootleg not original Complained and was told that the thirty days had expired so sort of 'tough shit guy go do one' Got heated for 24hrs however the seller insists that what was sent Was original, I have proved to seller that what I received was a 100% bootleg, photos etc. Seller came back and suggested that box had been tampered with Prior to it being Del to me, again complete bollocks. The seller has now returned this morning with "the record sent was A styrene original and therefore no refund" It's not a significant amount of money but a hell of a principle Here, they've made a mistake but won't admit it or they have Intentionally gone out to defraud me. Do I have an outlet to take my complaint to or do I just put the record in the oven with a 'hey fuckin ho' PD
