one here to get you started james phelps on paramount should be $10 or so 2 cracking sides. One a ballad other mid a 70s record. my copy just arrived today.

couple of realy prices there. The kim tolliver is much harder to find as an issue and the deep side is great.

I've never found a covered up record before it became uncovered in my 15 years of collecting. has anybody else here found a covered up record without actually havign the head start of being told what it is by the person who has it covered up ? off course the answer will be yes but I think in most cases the first few copies bought will be by people who know the name and have not found it out them selves.

might be useful to put up his other names so people can be aware and on the look out. I remember this same user name from the funk forum but have never dealt with him.

I think its safe to say you will have to pay a bit more than 50GBP...... thats very cheap.

one of the first slower tempo records i bought a real pivotal record for me which had a big impact on the sounds I looked for. awesome. file along aside the accents "you better think again"

that works that if you won a very expensive record very cheap you would be less incliuned to get upset about paying extra for the postage as overall you'd still have got a very good deal. Easy enough ?

I don't know that record. Or what its worth. seems the general concensus is neg feedback or try and get some cash back.

not sure I think it is insured for the price you bought it for not the price you sold it for. i'm no expert and i've never had to do it but i'd be very wary you are getting the cover you think you are.

fairly sure yes. i've started another thread asking i anybody has ever had to claim. I'm sure there will be ways to claim successfully if required but i've certainly read what I wrote. I found it via it google search on the topic and the royal mail website suggests this is the case as well but doesn't go into full detail.

yes about a tenner. but I am having 2nd thoughts abotu this service. Although a parcel of mine has never gone missing i've read recently they only pay out compensation to the amount you yourself paid for the item not what you sold it for. And you also need proof of what it cost you. This proof of purchaes value could prove quite difficult to get in a lot of cases. Has anybody used the claim facility and been successful i'd liek t know if the above is true.

what was the record and what was the total amount you paid ? that would help me answer the question.

fromn what i can gather a few people have recently picked up this 45...... i'm talking of a small few but thats just the ones I know about. whats the general thoughts on the qty found ? either way its a great record.

I popped my head in the modern session at radcliffe and although its not for me it was very busy so there is a demand for it. Its a real shame steve can't get his session kicked off earlier though. when I think of modern there seem to be splits even within that scene. Those who like the 70s etc and have a history set in the northern scene and those who got into the rare groove thing who seem to be a totally different crowd who didn't come from the northern scene. And within this there seems to be a north / south divide ?

agree totally it works both ways.

is robs shop responsible for putting the first known copy of any big 45s into the hands of DJS and collectors. Or is the lsit too long to start writing. I seem to remember being told a story that the first copy of one of the shrines came from rob ? around stafford era time..............
