Sad but true. and not aimed at you gareth but to answer anoither question above.... jimmie braswell did 2 on gene the king record originally came out on gene and also "one more chance" which I never saw in years of looking then prehaps 5 or 6 copies have gone through ebay in mroe recent time. I've been outbid on at least 4 of them.

if something plays perfect after 2 second queue burn then its still a pretty good copy to own IMO. If I had a rarity in that condition I woulnd't reduce the price much assuming that after the first 2 seconds it looked and played mint.

I think there were more than the 3 you mention. I got 2 of those and remember seeing at least a couple more. but not seen any since so prehaps still very hard to find in both cases.

I saw that on your site recently. Looks good not seen it before until then. I would always go for a US pressing first though if there is one.

a good quality sound clip and a label scan or picture of thew actual vinyl is the best way to judge when buying off ebay. i've had one persons vg that is better than another persons ex on many occasions.

sam williams on tower is in ebay a lot but price still remian high so prehaps not for the list just yet.

I got jimmy church and GG from a guy whose ebay name I think contained chattanooga ?? sold the JC and that got me GG for free. but now regret selling the JC as its awesome.

there were a couple of copies of georgous george on peachtree on ebay as well a few years ago that seemed to lower the price considerably but I haven't seen one for quite a long time now. what ever hapended to those ? prehaps it was only a small find ? I never got to the bottom of that one.

i'm not sure on what prices it used to sell for as for a long time I never found a copy. Then suddenly they started to appear regulary and sell for around $150 or prehaps a touch less. but still a fantastic double sider one of the great records to judge others against.

Bill Brandon on Tower but ebay has yet to make his quinvy an available 45.....

coming from holland the bootleg theory is quite plausible. I'd say that would be the case if I had to guess. i've come across a few myself.

i've got a few of his more traditional 45s and have seen this on ebay a few times but can't quite get on with it. it does seem popular though.
