  1. HI STEVE, I did and thoroughly enjoyed the read. Did not bother too much with soul events post 1982, due to full on commitment to home and family life, and was very intrigued and enlightened by Chalk's brief but detailed descriptions of events and the characters/dj's that have contributed to the soul scene of today. A big part of soul history that I have never experienced or had little knowledge of, so put me down for the full rendition when Chalky decides to write the book.
  2. Nice review and track listing, but how much and where, when available. ROY
  3. HI ADY. Did you know he is releasing a record today to celebrate his 80th?. Not the usual Tommy Hunt style but something of a rap orientated offering. Available on download from CD Baby. Had a get together with the man himself and Mandy with Pete Meadows and family on saturday to celebrate both their birthdays and he is still pretty sharp and loving song writing with the occasional performances during the year. ROY
  4. HI CHALKY, Thats a shame but understandable given the circumstances. Not an all nighter person myself but i know Lifeline has been going some time and for this to be cancelled due to the plethora of other one of nights/dayers and "jubilee" events just stinks. The likes of Cleethorpes and Brid have now been established for some time but i agree the add hoc nights put on by wannabee promotors who could not care less about established nights needs to be addressed in some way. Good luck with your next Lifeline, although i am sure you wont need it!!!!!!!!! regards ROY
