  1. How cryptic can I make this? ....After the initial appallment at John Lydon doing an advert for butter - everyone still accepts that he knows the score.
  2. It kind of freaked the other people in the restaurant out too Pete.
  3. I don't think you thought too hard there though Jock - must do better! (Btw me smileys and quotes etc have packed up, so remember I'm a bit tongue in cheek)
  4. Ooh!! Put that dirk back in yer stocking Jock.
  5. Can we just be left to our own devices and let us enjoy our retirement? That statement speaks volumes, the older lads have kinda been through a lot of the scene-prolonging fights re music and policy that still rage today and I suppose feel a little tired of it today.
  6. Bloody good statement. Any views board?
  7. Would I? They don't like it up 'em.
  8. Go on lad!!
  9. ....glad you reminded me Ton.
  10. I'll be the skinhead with the Fred Perry zip up, dungarees, brown brogue boots and the unfeasibly young girl friend.
  11. I met up with Robin about six year back at The Sands @ Southport Weekender for a chinwag - first time I'd actually seen him since we played a gig at The Dolphin in Holborn in the nineties sometime and nearly fell off me chair - how can I put this???...he used to have a lovely thatch of hair! (not bitching, my Cadfael is coming on)
  12. Is he still Nightwatch @ the Fire Station Pete?
  13. Yep, used to to visit Dave's stall, his missus at the time Wendy was the manageress of our local BHS cafe where we used to congregate when back in Warrington after nighters - spawning our very 80's all-nighter group T-shirts - BHS BREWMASTERS
  14. Hi Aid, don't know Mike but know who Wayne is. I remember going to see Brian @ The Carlton, Sam was with him and asking for their autographs on the inside of a box of ten Regal. Bri is on @ The Northern Line in Wazza this Sat, although I keep in touch on FB I haven't seen him for years, so going to nip up and buy him a pint.
  15. It's not the June Yamigashi???/BW boot of 'Trust Your Heart' is it?
  16. James Ingram I think.
  17. Janice Thorpe - ex Wigan, Morecambe etc - a great Leigh all-nighter girl - should get a mention. There was always her and a smaller blonde girl in front of the stage at Wigan, generally dressed alike and danced in unison. Remember her stomping six months pregnant on the little dancefloor at the back of Morecambe.
  18. Brian Rae - as a lad I used to spend a lot of time in Bri's car going up and down to various nighters....it was Bri who turned me on to a lot of late 50's/early 60's soul/R&B when it wasn't de rigeur, also stuff like Robert Cray, southern stuff etc His depth of knowledge musically and scene-wise is amazing - and the stories....Oh! The Stories...
  19. You Live Only Once.
  20. Again tough, I remember this album getting laughed at by my peers back then.
