  1. Janice, is at 6.07. She was a great dancer - even whilst heavily pregnant at Morecambe. She used to dance with a small blonde haired lass at the front of the stage at Wigan, they were class. I remember Andy Berry now you point him out.
  2. Hi Jocko. That's very, very sad. I used to sit behind where Stevie used to dance, always a well dressed fellow. His friends have done a lovely job, I wondered what the epitaph at the end was for, it was very moving. Wigan was a very style conscious place toward the end, you're right.
  3. ...apart from Phil's in the opening post! Sorry Phillipe.
  4. What!? No mention of Brian Rae?
  5. The ginger lad was part of the Scots lot, good dancer.
  6. It will be summat to do with the weight distribution on the tone arm - my ZZ&Co plays on one deck yet sticks on another.
  7. GEOFF!! Wassup owd son?
  8. Great pic of Mr Wilson leaving hospital after his bird, Sam Cookes ex, had caught him boning a groupie.
  9. Apologies for the dp, on a phone in the boozer.
  10. Apologies for the dp, on a phone in the boozer.
  11. Let's see if we can get Phuture Sole's Car Dupree home on time for the first time in ten years. Ha ha. I'm taking bets, he's the worst plane catcher in the world.
  12. I, am told, will be involved in The Shrine and also laying down a well overdue Bradford 90/91 Reunion set. A real Soul event filled with The Dogs Of War Soul Boys that have kept the progressive Soul Scene alive over the last thirty years or so, alongside the Big Boys that we all love to see. A Weekender that, to the REAL Soul lovers, simply cannot, and I repeat, cannot fail to deliver. Look forward to an event that will re-establish many friendships to a lifetime quality soundtrack. Hope to see you there.
  13. Having backed this venture for a while and it now coming to deserved maturity, yes I am involved now on a DJing level

Not read the thread, so just sticking me ha'penny in....used to go up with Brian on a Thursday and stay at Cliff Whites - Kenny Ball on as we entered, Prior we'd do Ions early do wherever that was and invariably I'd get left at Kenny's dodgy flat on occassion....just me and a strange tailors dummy....then Bri would pick me up and we'd go knocking Robert Cray albums out at the local markets on the way home to make the petrol money up. Top!
  20. In my defence I do have a lot of little records too? All bought when they meant summat....like not eating for a week or two.
  21. Got a few friends round, just sneaked off to chat with you lot as it happens (won't be long 'fore the missus finds out so be quick ), me and Tall Paul (Hawkins) are having a bit of a Rotherham face off....any suggestions?
  22. By the way, I didn't realise you collected fossils.
  23. I'm shit at wrestling Phil, just want to play a bit of Soul music to people that care...you know....proper Soul music!?
  24. Was at Wigan the night they played Tobi Legend for Mike after his demise....a very odd and heart-warming moment in Wigan dancefloor history.
  25. ....anyone fancy giving me a set at their do? I'm not too bad. x
