  15. am i going mad , or does my cd player make songs sound different ...................... is there two versions of what is this?-bobby womack i have a version on a minit/stateside compalation album, and i've just heard another version on the northern soul sensations cd and its sounds very different. anyone shed any light on this? alan

  22. thanks to sean i've now got my head around the "crossover" period, and i'm going to try and get up to bentnik to listen to their "crossover" evening. but, can anybody recommend some albums or cds i should look out for to help appriciate this style better in the comfort of home LOL thanks in advance alan

    it was the bob and earl B&C RECORDS album that got me asking the question in the first place. i bought a copy the other day from a second hand shop for £2.50 when i played it, i was just blown away by "my little girl" along with a few of the tracks, i gotta say this is a cracking slice of old school "northern soul" best couple of quid i've spent for a while alan
