  1. Does anyone do the same as me and recycle old covers.Just stick plain address labels over any text on the card and re-label with new titles
  2. Nice Stuff mate Skullsnaps is an all time fave of mine and i treasure my UK demo, but bit of a played very regularly list which is not quite what the thread is about. We Need inspiration.
  3. Here are another 8 better known but deffo underplayed records from me.Starting with the album track from Lou Coutney--Me And You Doing The Boogaloo--a real stormer. Then comes Willie Small with an old Stafford moover.Next a storming uptempo version of The Major's Aint No Soul From The Corvairs. The Dorothy Beery i payed a little over £50 for but think you could find one for less, brill track with a great flip. Then comes the awesome vocal R&B powerhouse from Irene & the Scotts.Elsie strongs version of Lennis Guess is a nice alternative.Gladys Knight fantastic Keele memories, and finally an underplayed version of Better Use Your Head By Robin Wilson

  11. Couple of mine from very first post on there mate.Arnold Bryant and Rex Garvin but i prefere the Flip called Believe it or not which reminds me at the intro to world column so is the sun, flip it mate and you will see you have a great two sider
  12. 16 belters Mark.Back to your excellent first list the Johnny Rome is a good price example. You paid £25 and its on a well known site for £75.You have got to shop around at the moment and the highest prices shouldn't be taken as what the disc is worth
  13. The main principle i was after was the £50 or under, uptempo, and underplayed. However prices do fluctuate and lots of records that i have bought recently for £40-£50 are on some big dealers sites for £75 so i'm not going to split hairs about the odd record that could be worth more than the £50 as long as it doesn't get too ridiculous.I am pleased Martyn got a bargain for the intros and have no problem as he didn't realise the going rate for the disc. Also as i have stated before i am delighted the way the thread has gone so far. Some fantastic lists have been submitted with 90% complience to the principles. Its just great we are all talking records and putting our hearts and souls on display and spreading knowlege about brill records that exist outside the limited oldies plays. This to me is the essence of Northern Soul the need to be lifted by something you haven't heard before or have long forgotten about. So no problem from me Chalky just lovin it
  14. Was told once that The Intros was surprisingly a Russ W spin at the Casino this deffo needs more action
  15. Did well with that Martyn, Intros is one of my all time faves only reason why i didnt put it in my selection is because i paid £80 for mine three years ago.Rest of your list nice by the way
  16. Thanks mate and thanks to all who have posted up lists.A good 20% of them are unknown to me and i'm having great fun checking them out, wants list growing all the time
  17. Another 15 from me all from my box all i would love to dance to and all i bagged for £50 or less each. Although a few are now becoming in demand and may be higher priced but non are That rare and you should be able to locate them all with a bit of effort.
  18. Great list there Adam 15 for £50 now that would be a feat . All my list i got for £50 or under each but a few of them do book at £75 with some dealers. You have got to search around and some bargains are out there lots of people seem to be selling up at the moment a sad sign of the times. Also lots of people like you who have tapped into the incredible wealth of great uptempo Northern/R&B out there .
  19. Hi Kev they are just individual photos of my records which are attached to the posting one at a time then when the post is sent the pics stack up automatically
  20. Great stuff mate.Love The Ebonies stafford spin i think class and Dream Merchants does it for me.Capitols i have this cracker
  21. Yeh what i didnt want was people posting up Fantasy mega expensive records to show off.I've got a few big ticket items but they are all very well Known and over time i have come accross many top dancers that are less expensive. From my list stuff like FIVE STAIRSTEPS,FAB DOWNBEATS,CHUCK CARTER.These are amazing Northern Soul records that don't get much turntable action.I Love my Oldies but the Same old stuff does need interspersing with the odd underplayed tracks to keep things fresh.Thats what Northern Soul is about for me a mix of the familiar and the not so
  22. Nice stuff mate but as you say a lot of regularly played stuff but like your Eugene Church and Clarence Murry
  23. Nice Mark thats the kinda stuff i am talking about.Like em all
  24. Recently a thread on OVO playlists was prematurely in my opinion closed.Personally i love these kind of threads and after all it is LOOK IN YOUR BOX forum. So thought i would try to inject new life into it using a slightly different approach.Right the Task is to name a playlist of 15 records that you would spin for the dancefloor.Try to list under played stuff or favourites that dont get played anymore and avoid the same old oldies 1/ From your own collection 2/ Original labels 3/ Uptempo Dancers only 4/ Priced at around £50 from fair dealers Thats it to start i have posted a few lets hope the thread gets some positive posts like it used to be and lets talk about records
  25. Massive response thanks now SOLD
