Visited Glenn Gunton yesterday and found out he has done a limited edition 50 copies only run of solid centre "demos" of I'LL HOLD YOU - FRANKIE & JOHNNY (OUTTA SIGHT RELEASE ON HICKORY LOOKALIKE LABEL) The way he has been able to do a run of only 50 is ingenius - the regular issue copies have been made to look like USA imports, but as they were manufactured in the UK were made with centres. These centres were dinked out to get the import look, but just 50 were left with the centre intact..on centre is an "A" denoting demo...so there is genuine run of only 50 solid centre 45's! Managed to prise some from Glenn but it's a case of Ist come, first served. Please PM to reserve. Price is £20 plus £1.80 Ist class recorded post. Here's a good one.... THE SUE STORY VOLUME TWO - VARIOUS ARTISTS (UK SUE ILP-933) Iconic 60's album! It took me ages to find a copy of this for my collection,so was more than pleased to fluke on to another copy this week. This is the album with Guy Stevens photographed with pile of vinyl on the front cover. Label is immaculate, nice and bright and without any disfiguring marks or writing etc. The vinyl is perfect, looks brand new. Like it says - FOR COMPLETE SATISFACTION PLAY THIS ALBUM AT FULL VOLUME - GREAT MOMENTS PRESERVED ON RECORD The album sleeve has not got any writing on it, it has got crease marks and on the back, the top flap that joins the front and the back of the sleeve has a small piece missing at the right hand top corner, it's goes about half an inch from the corner with whole of flap section missing and then another half inch with part of flap missing...underneath is the exposed cardboard that flap glues too. £65 and I will pay special delivery posting. The a side was performed, then Frankie & Johny were interviewed, and then they came back to perform "I'll Hold You". Also on the bill were Alexis Korner, Gerry & The Pacemakers and The Dave Clark 5. Glenn also has audio of Samantha Jones performing "Surrounded By A Ray Of Sunshine" on Five O'Clock Club. Decca obviously used their clout to get the record pre-recorded on the show,.but lack of sales meant it was never broadcast.
