  2. i think that you know your venues Kev and what works for it. if your aspirations are reflective of those who pay to attend then you are most certainly doing something right. Don't let the written words of others affect you if you have confidence in the reasons for what you are doing mate. just keep those regulars 'cream crackered' Kev and ignore outside influences, and maybe invite Mr.Barnfather down to experience the cram cracker first hand, to talk to the regulars and to you, as i well know, sometimes peoples words or actions can be misperceived by others. p.s. nice set at soul for heroes mush
  3. "when an ugly man and a mirror meet there is nothing either can do about it". the thing is..... we are what/who we are. if one is dissatisfied with how one looks or believes that one is still 18 then i guess one should stop looking at the pix in the gallery. if one likes to see what this wonderful scene of ours is about (the people) then one will keep looking without being judgemental.

  6. i only wish i could tell you the reasons but then people may just guess who they are so i'll have to take this secret to me grave!
  7. just seen petes' grosvenor room pics in the album section, excellent, very creative and, like kerbys' a joy to view, nice one mush.
  8. thank you david for reminding me that i am, in deed, far too young to remember the 70s
  9. i do!
  10. i don't put names to my pix because i don't seek permission to publish them from each individual and a person may not wish to be named at a venue for what ever reason he or she wishes. i do, however ask promoters if it's okay for me to take pix at their venue. i have three people who have asked me not to publish pix of them on the internet so if they get in the background of an image i'll either 'air brush' them out or not post the image. like you tereasa i think kerby's pix are spot on at capturing 'that moment in time'.

april showers/ nope, t'was raining soul tunes enough to drown the sorrows of the nation! (too much? sorry)
  12. even those images of dubious quality are a record of social history and and should be valued for this and not their aesthetic (or not) beauty. i only wish i had took loads of pics in the seventies and eighties.
