  1. Just bought a copy of this on Demo. The stars are on the SNTD side. I have also checked 2 other WB US Demos that I have, Mystic moods - Astral trip (stars on Astral Trip - A side) and Apollas - Mr Creator (stars on Mr Creator - A side). On 45cat in the WB Discography, it shows 'SNTD' listed as the 'A' side and 'IMNBWYW' as the 'B'? Just thought I'd add my two penneth!
  2. Vestax vote again here. Had one for years and use it regularly as a testing deck. Good thing is you can get 4 batteries for it for £2 at any quid shop and they last weeks. Great for taking to record fairs/Car boots too.
  3. Just bought this for £8.50. Richteous Brothers band - Rat race On the Demo copy too
  4. Didn't say I didn't want them, I'd kill for a pair, just don't see much advantage over 1210s apart from looking cute. and if your DJ wanted to play an album track he'd be furrrrked!!!
  5. Look awesome, but apart from the obvious smaller size, I don't really see much advantage to the SL-1210s really, as the 1210s play both 12" and 7". and you can pick up a decent pair of 1210s for the same price.
  6. Cheers Pete, knowledgeable as usual
  7. Thanks Dave. Just bought the Canadian copy for £16, so quite happy.
  8. How to spot the difference between the boot and a proper 'Rotations - A changed man'? on 'Frantic' Thanks!
  9. and what a great tune!
  10. Only ever seen a couple of the original presses of these and the last one was when John Vincent played it at the Central a few months ago. What would an original copy fetch?
  11. Thanks Pete, not bothered about selling it, just think it looks nice and different to what most people have it on ie UK WB or Veep. Thanks anyway Pete. I have a chance of getting one for £16, so the price is right then
  12. Has anyone seen one? NO replies after many hours.
  13. Hi Can anyone help me with the price of a 'Little Anthony & The Imperials - Better use your head' on Canadian Red with silver print 'United Artists' please? Thank you in anticipation.

  15. Has anyone seen, or is there such a thing as a 'legit' black 'Okeh' Radio station copy of 'Investigate' with 'The beat' on the flip? Thanks for your time.
  16. Hi I just recieved an album from a new band called 'Mayfield' On listening I think many on here may like their music. Let me know what you think, Not out and out Northern, but still very Soulful. There's a link to their music within the Biog, Enjoy! Mayfield are a UK based 8 piece band that write, record and perform original songs inspired by the very best Soul/Funk music from the 60's and 70's. Keep On ..... Biography Amy Dall (vocals), Adam Bignell (bass) and Dominic Elton (keyborads) had been working together for several years developing many of the early musical ideas. To fully exploit and define the overall Mayfield sound, a bigger line-up was required. Hence Ryan Crosswell (trumpet) joined the band in 2010, followed by Dominic Channer (drums) and Frankie Lewis (guitar) in 2011. Then in 2012, the final line-up was completed with the addition of Chicago born Gloria Miller (vocals) and Olgierd Koszlaga (saxophone). Description The musical interests across the band members are wide ranging and as such, their sound crosses over into various genres to include Northern Soul, Modern Soul, Funk, Rare Groove, Latin Jazz and Acid Jazz. Mayfield will be releasing their first album 'Tempo of Your Soul' on the 30th August 2013. The album will be available on vinyl, CD and iTunes and comprises 12 up-tempo, melodic tracks. To sign up for a copy (£5 only), follow link: https://www.mayfieldtheband.co.uk/tunes.html New material has since been written for inclusion on a second album planned for 2014/15. The sound is contemporary since it reflects the current revival in vintage Soul music and the large line up allows the full range of instrumentation to include brass and vintage keyboard sounds (Hammond / Rhodes). Vocalist Gloria Miller's home town is Chicago, USA - the birth place of Soul music and consequently brings authenticity to the overall Mayfield sound.
  17. Went for a ride in the sun today and found a charity shop open (yes on Sunday) A few records there but this was the only one of interest. Never seen one before and thought a strange one with a great track listing. Has anyone come across one before? it's a 'K-Tel' release.

  19. Hi there. Does anyone have the 'Keymen' records discography? or can anyone tell me where I could view it? I am looking for a particular record, but can't remember who it was by or the title, but I would recognise it if I saw it. It was def' on Keymen though. I just remember it from my younger days and would like to get me hands on a copy. Thank you
