Got talking about clubs from way back in Nottingham... it was the tunes that were being played that kicked in the memory blimey that reminds me of the AD-Lib and then more clubs in Nottingham came up, Anyway does any body remember going to this club they did play a mix of records but had more than one floor, And was it Gwen that stood on the door in full control, what was the name of the guy who handed out tickets in the Fountain pub... I remember we went upstairs in the Bodega before going down to the Ad-lib??? Mal

I popped in to see Rob today and he asked if i could place an update on SS on his behalf as he does not have access to the network........ Four Tops with Levi, may have been Nottingham Odean i have the programme somewhere Junior Walker Nottingham Palais They are the acts i remember well, did see a few turns at the Britt & Union Trentside Nottingham, In fact when i read the list of acts that appeared at the Union Boat Club well it's amazing who we had on at our venue always worth a read if you are in the club, In fact anybody remember who they saw on Trentside Nottingham at the Union & Britt....???? I think it was 1969 when we went to the wheel and stopped till finish then went on to a coffee bar early am, and when Nottingham Forest played at Preston we went over to Blackpool for the Mecca and had a weekend we enjoyed, but when did the Weekenders start up the friday to Sunday, i know we went over to Skeggy in the start up, perhaps Cleethorpes was before this one, all in all good memories of great weekends of meeting people on a annual basis, but be interestd to hear your feedback, Regards Mall

I was once informed that Talc can act as an abrasive and cause damage to a polished wooden floor,?? Leather soles work for me, and i know some of the dancers wear thick sole shoes for heal support, mind you i am not hitting the floor at present due to a tendon tear and it was not done on a talc laden floor, Regards Mall
