Leather soles work for me, and i know some of the dancers wear thick sole shoes for heal support, mind you i am not hitting the floor at present due to a tendon tear and it was not done on a talc laden floor, Regards Mall

I have just heard that a fire broke out last night at The Soulville Steakhouse, The Elite Building, Queen Street, Nottingham, apparently all got out safely, and the Staff did a great job of vacuating the restaurant and containing the fire untill the fire brigade arrived,I do not know the extent of the damage but wish Mark and his staff all the best in opening up for business asap, for those who have visited here i am sure you will say how well this establishment has contributed to a soulfull ambiance, with the Decor and freeplay jukebox playing soul & Motown, all the best to the team here and we look forward to business as usual, i will call Mark later and get a update, Regards Mall

I was flicking through the channels recently and stopped at a American action movie, and i thought wow that background music rings a note from way back when, late 60's, It was wooly bully, by sam the sham and the pharaohs, it reminded me of a club i attended 1968-70's and wow was some great sounds rolled out here, The guy who ran it was Dave Pikering, Picko and Simon took over after Dave still see dave about and he does some recording stuff for the Radio and the Cavern in Liverpool, A few names i remember who attended Critch, it was this chap who said to me at the end of the night, Mall we are off to a new Soul Venue called the wheel in Manchester are you with us off we went with one in the boot in a ford anglia the rest is history Oscar Tony Junior was on, then there was my old mate Jimmy Bell what a good dancer he was, i reckon him and i danced off each other great times great music and the Lads did not dance a lot in the late 60's, mind you Jim visits our venue in Nottingham and hits the floor, so is anyone out there who cut thier teeth at the 360, be good to hear from you, i will list a few more tunes i remember that was played at this great club, oh the club is still there, Let the good times roll, Bunny Sigler, Little old man Bill Cosby, Break out, Mitch Ryder, Rescue Me, Fontella Bass, Like A Baby, Len Barrie, Hear i go again, Archie Bell, Trampoline, Spencer Davis, Green Door, Wydner K Frog, I'm Losing You, Temptations, Billys Bag, Billy Preston, Well just a few i recall hope it brought memories back for you, hope to hear from any old 360 club members, Regards Mall Redman, Co Promoter Federation & Central Soul Clubs Nottingham,

  24. Thanks for showing the photo's, I do not have any pic's from the 60s-70s. The faded Denim with the small os turnup was the main line but i have rembered another shirt which i did not wear Brutus the one with the rounded collar, and the Burton made to measure suit was a must, a friend of mine had the largest single vent the jacket looked ripped up the middle with loads of cuff buttons in herringbone cloth. As someone mentioned it was a great ERA for clothes. Mall
