I'm one of the compilers of this complation of early Detroit Soul for History of Soul Records. I'd be really interested to find out what people think about the choice of tracks bearing in mind that its timescale is 1957-1962. The main idea was to present a collection that we thought would be historically interesting but at the same time very listenable throughtout. Keith Rylatt wrote the sleeve notes. Any suggestions for inclusion on volume two would be carefully considered.
