About The Event

FINALLY! The debut event for The Cherry Pit Rhythm and Soul Club. New to Wigan, an authentic basement club playing the very best early/classic soul, R'n'B, Ska, Mod, 60's etc. This is NOT a traditional Northern Soul event (plenty of that in Wigan already) this is a 60s style basement club.

Three resident DJs are joined by special guests Jordan Wilson and Pete Everett.

Join us at The Boulevard, Wallgate, Wigan (2 minutes walk from both train stations) from 2 till 8pm!

    Looking forward to Sunday, have been waiting over twelve months for this the first Cherry Pit. Have to say I think the flyer is great, looks like the picture was taken at The Scene Club, Ham Yard around '64. I'm sure someone will tell us if not.

    It most certainly is The Scene Club! Legendary Mod dancer/Face Mickey Tedder visible in the cycling shirt. It's great to hear people are looking forward to it, there seems to be a real appetite for this kind of club and music at the minute! Be lovely to meet you all! Neil
