Was i looking forward to this night after the 16 months forced absence and me only just discovering the club the week before everything went tits up and we got locked down. Think it was about 8.45 pm when myself and the fellow reprobates i travelled with arrived after getting lost ( ROB ) didn't we. Very warmly greeted as i handed over the door tax for 4 , said a few hello,s to some old faces. Nige, Carmen, Sean, Len and as i turned around i clocked 4 other members of our little not right gang from the Northampton area who by the way said that they wasn't playing out Saturday. Fibbers. . The most important thing,. the music was fantastic loads of 70,s and Crossover with plenty of oldies and a few R n B bits thrown in to cater for everyone's tastes. If i had to choose one single record from the night it would have to be Paula Parfitt. Love is Wonderful. Such a happy go lucky bounce along tune with the added bonus of very special memories from the greatest time of my life at Wigan and of a special young lady. Massive thanks to everyone involved , Promoters, DJ,s and the really, really warm and welcoming punters. I unfortunately cant make Septembers night but roll on October when despite returning from holiday that day and a 200 mile drive home i will still be venturing down to Stafford from Manchester that night Ste PS the sign on the door never stopped Rob from talking.
