About The Event

Right here we go,all details have now been finalised for our Christmas alldayer,and have we got a sack full of goodies for your enjoyment.Starting at 1pm and going through to 1am the STAFF SOULSPINNERS + guests will be on hand to spin their very own personal collections of rare underplayed vinyl for a full 12 hours.Looking for any vinyl xmas gifts? Well ROGER BANKS will be in attendance with his record stall,when hes not manning his stall,he'll be up there on the stage manning the decks.Our special guest DJs for this festive treat are as follows,JOHN MANSHIP,its always a pleasure to have John with us,he always makes an appearance "up the Staff" at our xmas alldayers.Also as guest at this event we have SAUS,reputed to be one of the best DJs in the country at one time along with Butch.So if your wanting a xmas winter warmer,Shirebrook Staff sports and social club(the genuine something different rhythm and soul club)is the place to be.A welcoming club,Talc friendly,food available,and as ever FREE ENTRY...come along to hear why we're called Something Different.Dates for 2022 will be released at this do..thanks for reading,merry christmas and happy new year to you all.

    Well what a way to end 2021,we did'nt know what to expect regarding numbers because of the ongoing situation the country is still in,but we were all blown away with the fantastic turn out,as always a steady stream of folk in the afternoon,by 7pm the room was filling up nicely,at 8pm we were comfortably full,even though a few of our regulars were sadly missing.Great selection of tunes played by STAFF SOULSPINNERS all of the 12 hours,I really am proud of these lads,the passion,knowledge and the stories they all have regarding their love of soul music is second to none and a pleasure to sit and listen to them.Like the staff soulspinners ROGER BANKS,1 of the nicest chaps I have ever met,also has knowledge of soul music and his passion really shines through when hes up there on the stage.Our special guest for the day was CHRIS DALTON,a Cleethorpes pier legend,2 fantastic faultless spots from Chris,another knowledgeable fella and a pleasure to be in his company.I could go on and on about this xmas alldayer,but I'll be in trouble with the powers that be so I better sign off.All the best and thanks for your loyal support Merry Christmas and a happy new year from all at Something Different Soul Club.IMG-20211218-WA0000.thumb.jpg.983b604f8aae12c9bbe6aa17777a6531.jpg
