It’s a new year and it’s cold and dark and wet outside.

But inside UPSTAIRS AT THE RITZY there are warm hosts, a friendly crowd, a great sound system and superb guest DJs!

This month, you never know, but there could be a lot of sixties soul courtesy of experienced party-meisters JONATHAN DABNER and RICH BUCKLEY.   it’s going to be a class night. We can’t wait.

SOUL AT THE RITZY is a monthly, sociable fun loving across-the-board soul night held in a brilliant venue – the club room at the top of the iconic Ritzy cinema in Brixton, London, just minutes from the tube station.

Music policy is 60s/70s soul, OVO of course.  It is neither a trainspotter's party or an oldies night. 

Your hosts JAKE LINGWOOD, DONNA DRISCOLL, LISA HURLEY and DOUGIE LING make sure each night packs a punch – and we bring you brilliant guests each month, as well as playing ourselves.

The sound system is top notch, and the venue has another ace up its sleeve – a large balcony overlooking Brixton’s Windrush Square.  It’s a brilliant venue and we’re thrilled/very lucky to have it.

We're now in our third fantastic year, and we’re really excited to have booked up a whole calendar of events for 2024.  (See attached flier)

Regular Thursday nights run from 7pm until midnight and are FREE.  And this year we're really excited to have four Saturday night specials which will run 8pm-2am and will be ticketed.
