WELL IT'S BEEN DECIDED!!! AS THE PREVIOUS 6O'S NIGHTS HAVE GONE DOWN SO WELL WITH ALL OUR REGULARS AT THE HAROLD, WE'RE DOING ANOTHER ONE THIS MONTH! THE DJ'S WILL BE SPINNING PLENTY OF THOSE OLD SOUL MOD STOMPERS FROM WAY BACK WHEN!!

The Harold's got it all - a warm welcome & fab, friendly atmosphere; great sound system with request-friendly DJs - if they've got it with them, they'll play it for you!  There's a top-notch dance floor with absolutely no need at all for talc; bar prices at WMC rates; large car park & good transport links. It's situated on the main road, with easy access from Chain Bar Roundabout, regular busses from Bradford, Brighouse, Leeds & Huddersfield & it's also close to Low Moor train station. There's even a nice hotel (The Guide Post) less than 10 mins walk away for those who fancy making a weekend of it!

We tend to limit numbers to 120 max in order to make sure everyone has a seat & also a space on a not-too-crowded dance floor, so please be early to avoid disappointment.

AS SOUL BREW'S MARC IS OUT OF ACTION THIS MONTH, BLACKBURN OLDIES DJ SHAUN CALLON HAS KINDLY STEPPED IN TO TAKE MARC'S PLACE & JOIN STEVE YENDLEY & MOPSEY ON THE DECKS.

    Hi all - Kath here with a bit of feedback on last night's Harold☺️

    By the time the doors officially opened at 8pm we already had 30+ people in & the footfall just kept on coming, so the atmosphere was buzzing from the get-go!

    Guest DJs Shaun Callon & Mopsey - plus Soul Brew's Steve & Marc - played a broad selection of 1960s Soul, R&B, Ska, Reggae & Mod tunes - something to please everyone. Well done guys - you nailed it!👍

    (Shaun stepped in to help us out last night as Marc was due to have an operation a couple of days ago. We expected him to be out of action for a while, but his op was postponed until a later date so he was able to join us after all).🙂

    Thanks to all who came to support us last night - as always you are very much appreciated!👍Everyone seemed to have a good night & we had plenty of good feedback from around the room - it's always good to hear we got it right!

    Now we're looking forward to the next Harold soul night on Friday 15th August, when Mick Glover (Junction 36 & now East Dene Soul Club) will be joining us to spin the vinyl on the Soul Brew Decks.🙂
