Down In The Basement 4 Northern Soul At The Grove Theatre - Eastbourne

We hope you can join us at The Grove Theatre, under the Central Library right in the heart of Eastbourne town, for another full evening of ‘across-the-board’ Northern Soul.

Those of you who have joined us at our previous outings at this fab venue know how special it is to us. There is a great wooden dancefloor and separate break-out area with fully-licensed bar. The location is fantastic, and literally just a 2-minute walk from Eastbourne Railway Station (and main town centre bus stops).

We are super-excited to welcome the brilliant Kim Styles as our guest DJ for the evening. Kim requires no introduction to those who have been around for a little while, and has really been at the forefront of the rare soul scene in Sussex since the 1970s. He was a resident DJ at the Night Owl events through the 1980s & 90s, and is now an integral part of the Medway School of Dancing events that are regularly held in Tonbridge.

Our previous Saturday evening events at The Grove have all completely sold out and we are expecting (hoping!!) for the same this time. ACCESSIBILITY

At the present time we regret there isn't an access point to and from the venue that a mobility impaired person can use unaided. Sadly, no thought was given to such provision when buildings like the Central Library, in which the theatre is located, were designed.

This event may include sustained flashing lighting that could affect those who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or have other photosensitivities.
