Now I see it again, it's a really poor attempt at a bootleg, don't you think?

I mean, the Demo of this 45 was the same colour as the issue as far as I remember, with Audition Copy or something like that printed onto the label. So, what gives with the white Demo for the bootleg? Were there legit copies on the white Demo version?

not according to tim browns new book

its an out and out boot, no legit white label

As far as I know they were the same colour as you rightly say

don't know why the bootleggers went for a wd look, probably to decive well it did me as you can see

but that was the early 80s (or was it last week)

Yep, my understanding as well.

Reminded me of when I won a spare promo of this in a '40 x 45 lot' on ebay a few years back for $60 inc shipping.....no pic of records and it was mixed in with lots of stuff like Spice Girls 45s

Had to take all the 45s as seller had prepacked 'em.

Was half expecting it to be the white boot as I anxiously flitted through them upon arrival, but nope, luck was on my side again .
