We Keep Finding Various Label Variations & Different Pressing Plants For The Same Release Number.

Not sure how many times this has happened where the Actual A or B Side Changed Too.

Toni Williams on Jet Set has exact same release number as a totally different record by another artist.

Bought This Stock Copy A Few Months Back.

I Can't Find It On Any Label Discography.

I Have Tried To Find Out If This May Have Been The Intended B Side As The Delta Numbers Follow.

Seems Strange For "All Of A Sudden" To Be On 60016 & 60017

Only A Guess But Wondering If "All Of A Sudden" Was A Last Minute Change Of B Side For 60017

The Tetragrammaton release of The Incredibles - "Standing Here Crying" was a Later release with "All Of A Sudden" as the flip.

Others Simply Kept The Sequence Number & Changed Things Within It As You Mention.

I am Intrigued as to the reasons behind some of these releases.

Possibly Long Forgotten Reasons Today,

Pressing Plants Working on Manufacturing Instruction & Cost Involved.

Were They.

11th Hour Changes, Mistakes, Repromotion or even Regional Taste

These have all crossed my mind as I have tried to piece things together.

My Copy Has "Don'cha Know" on the Flip.

...I can scan the 'Chicago' version for you, Rog', but I 'only' have the 'Muscle Shoals' version on UK Chess Demo - which is great for me, but it's not a lot of help in a game of 'spot the difference'!

As far as I'm aware, there's only one design of pressing of the 'Chicago' version, while the 'Muscle Shoals' one - which was a hit, of course - was pressed by numerous plants that were regularly used by Chess The 'Muscle Shoals' one is also available on the older black Chess label, as well as the two tone blue one.

There's a slight difference in the matrix numbers - they're the same actual number, but the Muscle Shoals one has a 'C' after the number - to (presumably) designate that it's a remake...

Hold the wedding on this one - I'm going to have to check a bit more thoroughly for 'distinguishing features' on each version and to do that I'll have to find someone who's got a 'Muscle Shoals' US Chess copy. I know there's a way to tell them apart without playing every single copy, but without having two of them in front of me I can't yet tell you what it is...

One very definite way to tell them apart is that the 'Chicago' version has no producer credits whatsoever on either side, whereas the 'Muscle Shoals' one has "Produced by Rick Hall' on the 'A' side and 'Produced by Davis, Caston' and 'Arranged by C. Stepney' on the flip. It was so bleedin' obvious that I don't know why I didn't spot it right away!!!

I'll still post the 'Chicago' version up later on...
