Hi All

Help wanted

As those that deal with me will know, always happy to hold my hands up if I make a mistake. Sold a copy of Wombat-Getting on life & Johnny Ross & The Soul Exsplosions-I can't help myself. The customer sent me a note saying both are bootlegs, i've said fine and offered full refund, plus both lots of postage.

But still feel embarassed not knowing, so would like to add to my knowledge.

Rarely worry about pressing as all our stock is purchased in the US from DJ's, label owners, artists etc and over the years I have tender not to buy pressings, but this has also left me with a slight weakness in this area, but I have always said 'No man can know everything'.

Anyway can anyone put up a scan of both the pressing and original of both records, so I know in the future.

Wombat, I always thought originals had a moulded edge and pressings a paper stuck on label, but I'm sure you can all let me know.

Thanks in advance

Dave

Wombat:

There's about four different bootlegs / pressings out there.

Easiest way to tell an original, is that the producer credits/times/publishers all line up.

Didn't know there were so many, thanks for that.

Dave - the Johnny Ross bootleg actually says "licensed to soul galore" on the label
