it wasn't painted initially as a logo, HMV took it's name from the painting's title.

When I worked at HMVs in Oxford St during the 70's, there was a stuffed 'Nipper' sitting in front of an old gramaphone...can't remember where it was - might have been on the top floor which was management... :thumbsup: Jo x
