"Philly Soul" was inscribed on my brand spanking new UK CBS copy of the O'Jays "Time To Get Down".

It was the first indication that Philly International was coming to the UK.

I can still recall how I got all giddy at the prospect.

Looking back, I must have been one sad Fecker... :thumbup:

...except that such stuff still excites the fool out of me!

I picked a copy up from a car boot sale a few years ago now. Hudson County....All The Heaven a Man really needs. In the deadwax someone had scratched......."one day this will be a top sound". Question. Did it ever get there? Another question. Where you the soulie who scratched it in?
