I picked this up this morning at a car boot for a tenner. Anyone know how much a dealer would charge for a promo copy?

I've tried to find a price on the net, to no avail. I know an Epic issue went for £20 the other day on Ebay. On popsike there's a couple of Okeh promos at $795 & $835, plus two reissues at £63 & £82.

no expert but I would have thought about £40,

it was me who got the one on e-bay for £20 which I think is very reasonable these days for a limited UK press.......no doubt someone will prove me wrong but was this not a 5,000 one off print run by Columbia for the UK market ??

I was told this by a bloke who worked in Callars record store and was one of the buyers.

Thanks for the info, seems I got bit of a bargain then.

I was watching that copy on Ebay, but I didn't bid as I bought a couple of cheapies during the week.

I had to save me money for a wedding yesterday, bought 2 pints of Fosters for me mates = £5.80!! whistling.gif

Well for a start, Epic in the UK had nothing to do with Columbia UK. Columbia was an EMI label and Epic was owned by CBS, though in the 60's a few Epic recordings did come out on UK Columbia which is a bit confusing. But the Sandi Sheldon was full blown UK release to tie in with I think the second volume of the Okeh compilation LP and therefore shouldn't be worth any more than £15 on a promo and £10 on an issue. I sell it for £10.
