Following on from another post by Gene about the Village Sound...

Which records remind you of something else....

My two are:

The Jades - I'm Where It's At.

Always reminds me of the theme tune to 'Are You Being Served'.... it's the Cash Register intro...

Sandra Phillips - World Without Sunshine

There's something about the bassline in this that reminds me of the 80s Pop/Rock hit 'Jump' by Van Halen.

Maybe it's just my sensitive dog's hearing or I might be barking up the wrong tree....

WOOF!

listen to the opening bars to Sherlock Holmes Standing at a standstill and tell me it doesnt sound like the theme tune to Snoopy

the opening bars of "heaven in the afternoon" are a dead ringer for the theme tune of the tv series of charlies angels.

One part of the Futures "party time man" sounds like the theme song from Benny Hill... although i preffer benny.. ;-)

best

I refer to the Hyperions - Why Do You Wanna Treat Me, as the "Sale of the Century" song because there is an organ lead intrumental break in it that sounds exactly the same as the music that they used to play to introduce the big prize on that quiz show

Hippo, does that mean that if I answer my next question correctly, Knickerless Parsons will let me have a copy for £30, not the recommended price of £300?
