What a tune - just listened & heard it for the first time. I notice a set of brackets around the o & wonder if that's what's written on the acetate and I mention it because it sounds like a very young Carl Carlton who is a native of Detroit - could it be?

There was no credit on the acetate, just the title, which was incorrect...I sussed out straight away that it was Mike terry, Uriel Jones, Popcorn Wylie just by listening to it, then thought well I might as well call it Carl Carlton as it's feasible that they all worked together around that time (65). I gave it to John Manship to sell, he said he thought it was a girl, so I changed it from Little Carl to Little Car(o)l as a joke really. I made one carver of it, for myself, apart from the different take that Kitch plays, there's only the original acetate and my carver, so if anyone wants to buy it off me they can, with a guarantee there will never be another copy cut.
