I Used to play this tune at the Wooden Bridge Guildford In 82 / 83 it was on a cheap marble arch lp A bit akin to the music for pleasure label from woolworths, Some nights it would pack the floor other times it would die a death, But its a cult tune I saw an orig british 45 sell for £60 last year. I never rememberd it being played at stafford but heard it at 100 club once around same time (not by Guy though)

You're mixing it up with something else, this isn't on a British original single if you're talking about Spooners Crowd. US copy goes for £40 to £60.
