Is it the same group as Spice who did "Sweet Norma Jones" on Sound Gems , a Philly release ?

or the group spice,"what about the music" on uk united artists up-2246 from 1968,???,unsure.gifph34r.gif

I've got that LP. Some very nice moments on it.

SPICE

"LET THERE BE SPICE" (1976 T.S.G. LP)

Best tracks - "I'm so glad to say"/"The last time"/"You've got me girl"/"Don't fight it"/"Fool in love"

I had to do an edit of 'Happy Music', great track but way too much heavy guitar for me.

the sound gems group is actually the chicago group that is on cle-an-thair and is a female group

Since the band members are reading this thread, I´d like to take the opportunity to say thank you for the music you have given us, massive respect, I love your recorded work guys!

And yes it´s true as have been mentioned above, there are a few different soul groups that have opted for the name Spice, just as there are numerous groups that have called themselves Slick etc. etc. This is a recurring "problem" throughout the history of popular music, there´s always a great risk that the name you chose for your group has already been used by someone else somewhere else...lol...

Regards.
