I'm a bit bemused by this topic, if it's a top soul record then why not include it in your Northern list, i understand there are differences in regards what constitutes 'Northern' white pop etc, or things that don't really fall under a 'soul' umbrella, but it just raises that god awful question.'What Is Northern Soul ?'.........i haven't heard a good (short) explanation of the term, except someone once said too me and i quote....' Northern is like a pint of Guinness......mainly black with a little bit of white'.......................
