The lead singer of the top-drawer group Cynthia and The Imaginations (Magic City & Blue Rock) and Cynthia & Imaginary Three (Big Hit) was Cynthia Girty.

But who were the Imaginations and the Imaginary Three?

And were the two backing groups the same but with just a slight name change, or were the line-ups different?

Any info much appreciated :wicked:

Cheers

according to cynthia girty, the imaginations records were first and was a real group that cynthia was connected to. the imaginary three were three people assembled by johnny mae matthews to sing behind her to maintain the same feel as the imaginations records.

Nice one Bob - yes that makes a lot of sense :wicked:

On the Big Hit 45 being later, I was puzzled to see the date on the attached scan taken from eBay a while ago showing the date as 1971

Can anyone confirm the date this fabulous record was actually released please (sounds too late for '71 but I guess it could be)?

Cheers
