Have you heard the sound clip? Sounds pretty soul to me.

Have you heard the sound clip? Sounds pretty soul to me.

Me too, pretty good one at that.biggrin.gif

I've had that 45 for at least 20 years; RnB style dancer that's hard to find.

Im not surprised that it's unknown to the regular Soul Source fraternity, as they seem to flounder on most subjects about the Northern Scene/obscure 45s.

Yes I have heard the sound clip. Clearly to me a blue eyed singer with a moody r&B style backing.

So it can't be soul then, i knew i was getting it wrong somewhere angry.gif

Hey Sosten....

Bit of a generalisation that dont you think? i like to read & join in topics about northern cos I love it, but i promise you, i'll live with you on most music genres, bar heavy rock, but dont want to talk about those on here. Does that make me blinkered? I can talk about Myles Davis or Lenoard Cohen at work, but isnt this place to meet like minded people and learn something about what you love? Or am I missing something?

Damn Fine tune but not for that kinda money

mrswood, I was making the point that there is a lot of misinformation on Soul Source, especially about records.

Personally I think its an okay tune, that would appeal to people as it has a northern/R&B style backing. But I'm not convinced there is any soulfulness to the vocals and is indistinguishable to many of late 50's early 60's white pop records that were around at the time. It would be be a sad state of affiars if this took priority over playing something soulful just on the merit of it being rare or obscure.
