Depends on what you want to listen to , if its vinyl and Jimmy at his very best I would recommend the Ruff 'n ' Ready Lp from 1969.Great album cover as well.

They are all worth buying.

Not that expensive either, if you're prepared to take your time & scout around a bit.

Bought his first UK LP "The Jimmy Ruffin Way" from a boot fair for 50p a few months back! Nice and rare, but nothing really ground-breaking, other than "World So Wide, Nowhere To Hide".

Nice record there "Rustler Collector" B side of something, possibly "Lets say goodbye tomorrow" in the states?

One of his best albums is the budget priced " I've passed this way before " on MFP , all the hits and a whole host of unissued and b sides etc - should be really cheap as well !! Best Wishes ,Eddie .

There`s also "The Groove Governor" LP from 1970 on Soul . "living in a world I created for myself" etc.

Somebody on here was asking for the Polydor self titled album.

I played it at the weekend and it is a great mix of 70's dancers and ballads - recommended.

There is a new single out by Jimmy at the moment and its starting to get played a bit, its called (We Finally Found Out) on the Soul Junction label
