I have been waiting nearly 4 weeks to get 4 records I won from the States.

I just received a reply from the seller -

He still has my records but doesn't have any boxes! He ordered some but they went astray.

This is part of his reply:-

'' I can scrap around and find a box to ship your records, however with the magnitude of your purchase I would prefer to ship in a new box''

He has charged me $35 to ship EXPRESS with tracking.

Best thing to do at this point is to file an "Item Not Received" dispute, if only to put a rocket under his bum. That should make him send the records pronto.

I just had some UK clown not posting for 3 weeks and when I chased him up politely, he said he was waiting for his new stock of mailers. Then he changed the status to shipped 7 days ago. It arrived today... in a reused old mailer, dated last Thursday, he posted 4 days after his shipping notice. It was posted 2nd class from his workplace in Manchester so it cost him nothing in P&P after he charged me 1st class signed for shipping.

I've got some other clown from the states who charged me $14 shipping and it cost $3.44 on the package, the record is described as VG+ and it sounds like a pan of bacon is being fried in the background and is covered in marks.

and they make out like you're a bad customer when you complain!

Yeah did that and this was his response. Previous messages went unanswered.

i sent two packages express on friday, it does cost that much and that's the only "official" service that gives you tracking. I always thought priority international gives you tracking, and apparently you can track it via the customs number, but somehow they don't officially support it.

I am surprised at the attitude of this seller. Doesn't he realise that Ebay have denied the seller their basic right to reply?

Which means that whatever happens, you can give him a damn good slating via feedback and his Detailed Seller Ratings (eg, only 1 star for dispatch time, P&P costs etc), and he can't have any retaliatory comeback on you.
