Just watched people bidding up a copy of The Significants on Alsevars to the tune of $887 ,whilst there was a M- copy at set sale of $500 from a different seller .

As soon as the 1st one finished the set sale copy was withdrawn and now relisted at $800

their are loads of crazy people out there to keep the crazy world of ebay going .

I don't think people are crazy, they just aren't as informed (or obsessive) about collecting and don't look at ebay every day. A lot of them only look for items from specific sellers. This seller definitely has a following and some people probably got into a bidding war over it. They had probably never seen the record before and wouldn't have thought to search for it. They're not like in the inner sanctum of collectors that can get a copy of some random record for super cheap.

I've been meaning to say something about the bashing of people that buy bootlegs for money, but don't want to get into that now.

there has been many comments regarding records going for silly money on ebay when they are available a lot cheaper elsewhere, but some people seem to have more money than sense.

Seen that happen a few times Nev - seems people focus on a seller and get carried along when there's a much cheaper BIN sitting somewhere else..

well nev, what is a difference of 300 usd for a rare record between friends ? nth compared with 520 usd for a vg george jackson blinkity blink last night when the last two copies before in better shape were buy it now at 5 USD LOL ...
