Just having a flick through some of my UK albums and reading some of the sleve notes and noticed on the "Johnny Johnson and the Bandwagon (Direction 1968) his name as in the band line up along with Terry Lewis,Billy Bradley and of course Florida born Johnny Johnson, now i have two questions here for you, is this Arti Fullilove as in the single "Santa Clause" (Please Listen To Me) ? and Who did the other version of the track on this album called Are You Ready For This ? I have the dam thing tucked away some where on a 7" as i used to play it (donkeys years ago) but can i hell aslike remember who it was by, Writen by J. Ross/M.Barkam/R.Adams Going bloody senile in my old age, not to be confussed with the Brothers song, different song altogether.

Yes Rick, it's the same Artie Fullilove. I have 2 other versions of "Are you ready for this" - Jay & the Techniques, on Smash, and Bill Deal & the Rhondells, on UK MGM (I think the US label was Heritage)

Artie started out in Kansas City Playboys with Chuck Flamingo and the rest of the band by the way. He passed away six years ago.

Thanks Guys, Have both those versions but thought it was a more obscure version but on reflection it was probably one of those  Didn't know Artie had passed away, wonder if he had any other solo outings, must have a shufty and see what surfaces, thanks again... Rick
