Hi everibody, I'm looking for a copy of Marty Hill "Mr. Oracle Of Love "/ "Somebody" on Columbia.

A clean copy would be better but a strong VG good for djing would fit anyhow....

I was very lucky then cos I picked one up around September 2011.

Was originally after the 33rpm version on US Columbia but dropped lucky with the UK Philips copy instead.

They used to do black and white demos I think, around the time of this release, so am surprised to hear of the demo sticker.

I think they stopped the black and white demos in 1960-61 if thats any help.

And as this UK Philips scan shows, it was a 1961 release, so just about right for Tony's demo sticker.

Would have been pressed as both solid and cut out though.

I think I'm right in saying though, that for that period, solid centres were more common. Would you not agree? So, it could be that the push-out centre types may be more rare?

Bit hard to tell on a record like that which sold zilch, I'm not sure really, the later we go, the more common the push outs I think. Must check my Marty Wilde records!
