Apologies if this has been done before, perhaps its time to recycle?

With all this talk of oldies, underrated, overrated etc, thought it might be nice to look at those records that may be overplayed, overrated, used in adverts/films/remixed/remade and the like, but are just so so so so damn good, that you just dont care!

Them records that it wouldn't matter if you heard them zillions of times they would still destroy you like the first time! (even if you are a card carrying upfront newies punter or modern room mover or closet funketeer ) Perhaps your little dirty secret?

Here's one of mine, I'm way too young to have heard it played out when it was big first time (79?), but it's a stone cold "oldie"

Billy Hambric - She Said Goodbye - Drum (them chord changes in the chorus ruin me everytime!)

Don't really consider it a dirty secret, just a piece of music that can still bring out goose pimples. Jerry Williams - If you ask me

Why 'dirty secret'? I've nothing to hide in my taste of music. I don't need to be clandestine about what I like. And labels like 'over-played' and 'over-rated'are merely subjective statem

Fortune Teller..... I don't mind if it's Benny Spellman or the Del-Rays. This song epitomises why I love soul music. Seven chords in, I'm dancing and hooked as I ever was.

I simply don't care if it's somebody else's played out oldie....

Mines got to be Freddie Chavez - They'll Never Know Why.

By no means a rare or underplayed record, infact i hear it played all the time and I'll spin it more often than not, but I still absolutley LOVE it and it never fails to get me on the dancefloor :D

SALVADORS / STICK BY ME BABY from start to finish it has it all.

another oldie i picked up cheap @ the moment im liking is TATE / LOVE SHOP but not a patch on above.

SALVADORS what an absolute monster!! another one that will always get me on my feet

Al Kent-The way you've been acting lately-Ric-Tic......A 45 that made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up on first hearing, and still does today

Big respect for Spyder Turner choice.

Mel Britt for me. I even went off Tomangoes for a bit (hangs head in shame), but let's hear it for the song I never tired of:
