I have a 45 by the Hollywood Saxons on Action Pac. I know it is rare and can't find much information on whether or not they ever reproduced or booted this 45. Deadwax is etched M-111-A and M-111-B. Any help would be appreciated.

What details should I look for to confirm that it is an original?

I have an original for sure. The deadwax on mine matches yours. I'm also pretty sure it was never booted as it's on all the doowop collectors want lists but almost none of them have heard the record because it's rare. A doowop "repro" would definitely be well known by now.

Thanks for the info. Great 45.

I think there are some 45's by the Hollywood Saxons which may have been booted as I've seen ones with coloured wax. Boot / reissue ??

The only colored wax thing on Action Pac I know was a DIY Punk looking EP of 4 songs that they themselves put out in the 80s. It has a killer ballad called "do it right the first time" that has them singing over like a casio with the built in rhythm on.

I'm pretty sure there are "repros" of at least one of the doowop titles on Swinging. but I'm sure this one has not been booted.
